as much i detest the current west ham i use to have a soft spot for them since my mate is a spam fan their fans maybe twats, arrogants, delusional, animals etc ..... always admired their loyalty to their club and also i think people are underestemating west ham fanbase and loyalty west ham have the 3RD Largest fanbase in London higher than chelsea (most of their fans are not from london ) and fulham west ham have no doubt the most loyal fans in London proper working class that stick to the team no matter what West ham have been famously relegated at 2003 but in their 2 year stint in the championship they got average 33-35k only newcastle, leeds, sunderland and sheffield wednesday have more than them in the championship west ham isnt just an ''east london team'' they ARE the ''east london team '' they rule the whole east london( the biggest part of london) and they also rule Essex Only the so called ''Big'' 4 have higher ticket price than west ham!!! yet west ham still get average 33k despite living in the poorest part of London

I can't believe Wet Sham's traditional fanbase are in favour of this move. The atmosphere at the new stadium will be dogshite.
I also wonder how they're going to afford it if they go down. I'm sure they'll get a sizeable sum for their current residence, and they'll be getting the Olympic stadium at a fraction of its value, but surely it will all be at a net cost to the club?

Not certain yet, vote tomorrow and Boris has his say. Probably be rubber stamped though; Didn't know they did rubber dolls that did that.

even if west ham go down this year( which looks certain) they can be at the primier league by the time they get the stadium in about 3-4 years dont think a club like west ham will hang around in the championship for many years unless ofcourse some shit happend to them like Leeds

You can bet your house that they said just what the committee wanted to hear to get it. Once they are in The Porn Kings will be looking for any excuse to change the goal posts.

Their fans are a bunch of cocks, but having said that they love their club and are more loyal than most.
We can take the piss but when all said and done Gold and Sullivan have systimaticly dragged the club down from the day they took over it has become something of a laughing stock with the way they have run it. This bid for the olympic stadium is everything the fans didn't want. They have just killed the club.
Thank God it isn't us

Thank God it isn't us Amen to that; good honest Eastend working folk seeing their club being ruined by people who abandoned Birmingham when it suited and then didn't bother to attend a semi-final when the two teams played. How's that for interest?

They have a £40m loan they can drawdown on from Newham council as soon as they are named preferred bidders, the extra capacity will mean they will be able to accomodate some of their 15,000+ season ticket waiting list, selling upton park and then the naming rights to the new stadium means it will cost them the square root of fuck all.

That Video above states there's no waiting list, and that they aren't selling out now which is 1 of spurs weapons in the battle ???

I always wonder about these mythical "season ticket waiting lists" at clubs that don't sell-out regularly. EDIT: I did a quick check, and as of November last year, everyone bar Arse, Spuds, Chelski and the Victims had STs available.

According to a report I read this morning they'll also get £35 million from the Olympics fund, and they reckon the sale of the Boleyn will get around £20 million.

So they've got £55m in the "plus" column. How much do they actually have to shell-out?

surprise surprise this is the very reason that the dildo bros brought west ham in the first place.why else would you buy a club that was in a financial meltdown, these twats stand to make a lot of money now out of taxpayers!! im fuckin fuming. i have no problem with them buying the olympic stadium at the going rate. but it seems to me that they want it scott free and then keep the money from the sale of upton park! every fair minded football fan should boycott the olympic stadium

Its all good, on BBC London News they stated that if West Ham cannot fund the whole project that the tax payer will subsidise the remainder, hmmm that is around 90% then. West Ham fans are truly gutted. On the other hand Spurs fans are deliriously happy.
Personnaly I dont give a stuff, I live not far from West Ham and their fans are total prize pricks, whereas Spurs fans seem ok and will have a beer with you, West Ham fans just wanna fight whilst wearing stupid gold chains. Im Glad they got the Olympic Stadium, I want West Ham to fail, Mr Brooking put that in your pipe and smoke it, this will ruyin the hammers, har fucking har
