Thorney. Didn't want to leave Stoke and didn't celebrate when scoring at the Brit for Cardiff top bloke.

Thorne is one of my all time fave players, what a hero he was scoring 30 league goals in one season, takes some beating!! I believe Peter tried his damst to fake his medical at Cardiff to stay but the then Chairman told him he had no choice but to leave due to the vast offer on the table!!
Posh Spice is a Stokie, A Stokie she was bron, & when shes shagging Beckham, She thinks of Peter Thorne ................................. ooooooooooooooooo...* repeat.
Altho Sheron was a top player... imagine them both together... the greedy fucker!!

Sheron - was sold down the river by Moxey & his bullshit quotes

Gotta sit in the Sheron camp myself, although I have met Thorne and he is a top fella, a genuinely nice guy. But I loved going to watch Sheron and Sturridge play together - you were always confident of getting something from every game with those two up front.

One more for Sheron, Thorney was fantastic but Sheron had that extra edge for me, always up for it.

Sheron no doubt about it. A tenth of the recent investment when we were under Macari and he could have had us in the Prem. I feel bad about the abuse he got when we played QPR - he actually looked distraught. Seemed fair enough at the time but he was not instrumental in moving at all.

I was looking for the photo of thorney after the autoglass win where he's got his face all busted up, but alas it doesn't seem to be online anywhere that i can find in 3 minutes so here's sheron instead with his big ears and our excellent mid nineties kit

Sheron was the better more complete player When the sentivale ran the headline "Stoke sign Swindon striker" I so hoped it was Jan-Aga Fortoft ;D, instead we got Keith Scott , and we swaped him for Sheron ;D ;D

'Sheron - was sold down the river by Moxey & his bullshit quotes'
The same Sheron who after QPR made him a ridiculous offer and months after signing a new contract making him the highest paid player at Stoke ever , declared if we didn't let him go he felt he couldn't give his all at the club? Oh yes that Sheron who was sold down the river ???
To answer the question though Sheron without a doubt. Scored in the top flight and at U21 level as well- far better player.
'Seemed fair enough at the time but he was not instrumental in moving at all'
Joke right ???

Thorne for me, I never liked the fact when Sheron decided he wanted to leave Stoke he spent most of his time pretending to be pushed in the back and looking for free-kicks. I think in his final days in a red and white shirt he really lost interest simillar to Siggy.
That said Sheron was better with the ball on the deck and one on ones but Thorney canna half attack a cross.
Owwwww Peter Thorne...

Sheron for me. He was class. I loved Thorney to bits but he was a poacher rather than a goalmaker. Shezza could do both.
I agree with lordb, the best striking partnership I've seen over the last 30 years was Bertie and The Golden One.....the latter being a player who would not be out of place in the 72 side.

For ability Sheron for me, and for the fact we offloaded that useless cunt Keith Scott for him. Deal of the century. If you asked me who I liked the most though, Thorney hands down, top bloke.

Sheron was immense for us, but for me, It had to be Thorney. He was pure class and deadly in the box. Seeing him score the winner at Wembley in the Auto Windscreen will stay with me for life. Was devastated when we sold him to Baardiff and for him to not want to go, despite the huge money being offered to him, just showed how much he loved Stoke.
GOARNNNNNNN THORNEY!!!!
