Even if we play a the peak of our powers and the shit are off form we have no chance. 0-3 is also my prediction.

More interested in the performance tonight.
We still have to see these games as “no pointers” and if we do manage to get anything, it’s a bonus.
I hope to see us cause them one or two problems with our attacking players (Ethers, Pennant, KJ, Ric etc). I will be bitterly disappointed if we stick 10 men behind the ball all night, launching it long only for it to come straight back again. If it’s backs to the wall for 90 minutes without us offering anything going forward then that’s not good enough IMO.
I can live with a defeat tonight if we actually give it a bit of a go.

I can face up to the fact that it's 90% likely that we lose and I'll be happy to see us be competitive, rather than meekly surrendering as in the last two fixtures at the Theme Park. We showed away at Chelsea (when they were at their 7-0 trouncing peak of course, not when they had half their players missing like when Sunderland played them) that we can compete and do pretty well and I'd like us to show the same here. We've improved a lot and we are capable of getting something out of this game, even if it's a long shot.

I don't see why we can't give it a go, we always roll over to them when playing at Old Trafford, with their pacey midfield I think we should scrap the long throw. I'd still play Delap in the middle with Wilson/Whitehead. I don't mind if we actually show some clout and give it a good go!

I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Utd are not playing that well and we do have a chance of getting something out of this one.

[/quot Agree WD - The problem as ever in games like this will be the amount of possession we get and our ability to hold on to it for any length of time. I think we all know what to expect but I just hope to be proved wrong tonight.

I don't see Higgy doing any better if he was selected. We could do with Wilko tracking him for the first 10 minutes and smashing him out of the park to keep him quiet

Tonight's game is like a free hit in cricket. Nothing really to lose because no one expects us to get anything.
Bookies have it about right quoting us at 11:1 against winning and that's about right . . . . (but lottery wins are much longer odds and someone always wins it!)
Heart - ManUre 0-1 Stoke Head - Manure 3-0 Stoke

Off to OT tonight. Surely Man U will be expecting us to 'Park the bus'. So surely we HAVE to use the element of surprise by having a real go at them? I'd put Wilson in there with Tunny and Fuller up top to stretch their defence and give it a real go.

Leaving out our leading scorer just after a return to form would certainly be unexpected.

Wilson and Tunny in the middle!
Leave Fuller and Kenny up front...however we'll get Delap & Whitehead with an unwelcome return to Walters

United 3-1 Stoke.
We'll give it a right good go though and it'll be touch and go for large parts of the game. They'll go 2-0 up, we'll nick one back off a set piece, have them on the ropes, G Neville will rake his studs down the back of Kenwynes' leg when one on one and nothing will be given and they'll go up the other end with Nani busting the net.

Depends how many we have sent off ! Ethers probably for deliberately jumping on the end of Neville's boot, and Wilko, Rory or Whitehead for looking at the ref !
I reckon 2-0 or 3-0 to Manure, but like others have said I just hope we do actually try to attack them for once and have a real go.
