After coming across this video a few weeks back I have become very fond of Jazz, what Joan Chamorro the upright bass player is doing for Jazz with young people and Andrea Motis the girl playing the trumpet. I came by this video by getting into Bossa Nova. A bit mad really from Punk to Jazz and Bossa Nova. Who would have thought it?

Am loving discovering Yma Sumac and Exotica music in general. I always thought that intro was a bit good to be done by the black-eyed peas

Had a listen to the Koln Koncert this week after the terrible news regarding its author.
Really very accessible and achingly beautiful in parts.

Have you been to Ronnie Scott's ( ( London ) Paul? Not for the best part of 30 years John. Just as a heads up,if you haven't already watched it,but 'Ronnie's:Ronnie Scott and his world famous jazz club,' recently aired on BBC4.Available on Iplayer currently. Genuinely interesting and affectionate documentary, imho, that may be of intetest to you both.

I like every kind of music, as long as it's good music.
"Come away with me" - Norah Jones "Dead cool" - Randy Bachman "Here's looking at you" - Debbie Harry "The boy from Ipanema" - Diana Krall are all good jazz songs.
