Port Vale 1 Stoke 0 in 1995. I was 9 and all I remember was having to stand up and so barely seeing anything for 90 minutes, Bogie's goal after 12 seconds to shut us all up, and Stokies smashing the seats up towards the end. Not the best experience.

Coventry City 1 Stoke City 2
Some time when Bossie manager and the infamous notegate.
Gally scored a cracker and we needed the UN to get the tickets for the game.

Hartlepool 1 Stoke 2, Gleghorn and Big Dave Regis. Think it was promotion season under Macari? Was a student in Leeds at the time and went with brother and mate who had come up for the weekend. Left house keys in a cafe in Hartlepool. Bugger.

I'm fucked if I know, would have been about 2000-2001. Coming down from Inverness was bad enough for a home match. It might have been Cambridge United or even Northampton Town.

It was at wolves, 80/81 i think. That old south bank stand with the no mans land between rival fans. Yes their ground was a dump in those days ;D

Reading away at their old ground... ELM PARK!!! standing in that shocking shed of an away end, with no roof over us, it would always piss down and jamie cureton and nicky forster would always make our defence look as wet and sloppy as a cheap slag!!!! Never a good night down there, luck changed when they moved to the madejski!!! Never forgiven dad for my early experiences of them days haha!!!

Oxford United sometime around '92. Would have to do some searching to find the score, all I can remember is that Coatsys' stadium catering company did Oxfords grub too!

I can't remember if it was my first away game but it is close. But the one I most remember is notts co 78/79 Richardson goal in last ten mins. Sitting with the home supporters looking at the mass of Stoke supporters in the away end . And Richardson scoring at that end to win promotion. Magical absolutely Magical.

If that was the game that Cliff Carr made a great save & the everyone except the ref saw it then that was my first away day too. Can remember at half time Leeds Fans having some half time entertainment to themsleves, where a circle of fans was formed & if someone was pushed into the middle they would enclose and kick him! Also remember Leeds fan(s) in balaclavas (must have been nippy ) and lots of bits of Yorkshire being lobbed at us while waiting to leave the away end
