Just heard his comments about some managers always 'bleating on about refs' and when he sees them come on he turns the volume down

Roy Keane has got a lot of time for referees. Here he is inviting him round for a brew after the game

What a load of hypocritical bollocks from a real wart of a man.
Is this the same Keane who constantly moaned at referees and then moaned about and subsequently walked out on his country to totally disrupt a whole World Cup campaign?
Keep your thoughts to yourself you prick, nobody is bothered about you anymore.
A has been desperately trying to reclaim a long gone media profile.

I think Keane would be best advised to keep those opinions to himself. They are bound to bite him on the backside before the end of the season. That said, the bleatings about referees coming from within Stoke's camp is getting a bit tiresome. Sorry, bad luck, we've been short changed and all that. But just get on with it. We're not the first club to have these issues and we won't be the last. Continually raising the topic won't assist us in any way. Tough, but that's the way it is. Ignoring it won't make it go away either unfortunately. I agree get on with it to some extent but when it is getting ridiculous (like Saturday was) then you can't just let it go and someone should take the blame when they are not doing their job correctly. Referees have a difficult job but they get paid well for it and should hold their hands up when they make a mistake. I think then the managers would not have to keep banging on about it.

Is this the same Roy Keane who made a career out of chasing referees around the pitch and screaming abuse at them, when something did not go his way.
Is this the same Roy Keane who acted like a "big girls blouse" and walked out on his team mates at the 2002 World Cup when he could not get his own way.
Thought so !

I remember him playing for Forest at The Vic. He could only have been a lad and he spent the whole game moaning at the ref of the day. He never stopped since and got away with murder under the umbrella of "The Shit" Hypocritical cunter

"Ignoring it won't make it go away either unfortunately." Totally agree - it won't go away. Contentious refereeing has been around for years, it's all part of the cycle of natural human error within the game. Stoke have not been the only victims this season. Think back to Blackpool v Man City recently, when Blackpool had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside and then City were allowed a goal which was offside. Those decisions turned that game. It's happening everywhere, has been for a long time, and neither bleating on about it or ignoring it will alter what's going to happen in the future. Of course there are injustices all over the World-not merely confined to football of course. But the day we stop speaking up about any of them is a sad day

I think we've reached an important point now. Saturday's decision was by far and away the worst decision we've had go against. The ref's will know this and whereas before they were dubious decisions that could have gone either way (Spurs - Push on Gomes, Bolton - Huth all over Knight, Everton - Tunch had his hand on Baines back, Man U - Actually that was just bottling it but it was against Man U so what do you expect) we will now have refs having to really think long and hard about every decision. This will make it a lot tougher and the moaning we've done has added to this pressure - It's up to the refs to get it right for us now. All we are asking is that they do their job and in the back of their minds they will know this.
That said I don't want them to be giving us points either - I just don't want them taking them off us.

He's an arse, I wouldn't be surprised if this was nitterness over the Walters issue overspilling. I cant wait till next time Ipswich have a game changing decision go against them and see if he's the perfect gentleman.

A wanker, but an entertaining one. The game needs interesting characters like Roy. Interesting character area must for the league and I have to say I enjoy McCarthy and Holloway interviews, and think Mourinho was a real loss to the league for his charisma alone. Roy Keane on the other hand is a self satisfied, smug, arrogant prick of the highest order. He is the ultimate hypocrite, the recent comment about complaining about refs the newest in a long line, and someone Prem is better off without. He walked out on his country, which says an awful lot about his character, and has somehow managed to bluff his way through management while living off his playing career. He did well to get you promoted then spent a shed load on complete tripe and once he felt a slight bit of pressure he did what he does best, fucked off and blamed someone else for his ineptitude. I think this is just a long winded version of my previous post, which summed him up nicely. Roy Keane is a cunt.

Mourinho is an exceptional charismatic person with an ego and his press conferences are sorely missed in English football. He also never runs when things get tough like a certain Cork wankstain. Keane is a washed up player with delusions of grandeur, as above he's a cunt.

But the evidence is in my corner, the fact he used to pack out the Sunderland press room, had the club prioritised above the circus that is Newcastle in terms of time-allotment, journalist delegation etc, speaks volumes. Prior to Keane, the media dealt with us on a Thursday, Newcastle & Middlesbrough on a Friday. During Keanes time, we were instantly switched to a Friday in place of Boro, and were given more time than Newcastle. The fact he was hounded for his opinion on practically everything. He sold headlines. We were on TV more often. People all around the world took interest in Keane & Sunderland. He is an incredibly controversial and interesting character, recognised by the media as such. The mere fact his comments demand their own thread on a Stoke City board are just testament to that.

Roy Keane was a very good player (but not a 'great' one) but is yet to cement his name as a managerial great. Until he does I suggest he shuts his mouth and does what he's good at...whatever the fuck that might be.
