Even a Wilburt Smith scholar like yourself can't surely want to read a book that lasts 8395 days before the hero comes good? Fair point but Smith has never done anything as good as the Fresh Prince since

I would also like to commend you on your choice of manager in Tony 'The Messiah' Pulis. It took a very brave man to make this decision in the face of adverse criticism as I myself have suffered the same criticism to a much lesser degree with regards to this matter. . ;D ;D Well done Sir...It wouldn't have been possible without you and Tony..!! Many thanks . mumf You can crawl all you like, mumf but my mate Pete isn't going to forget that you laid the blame for the failure to sign players in the first transfer window squally at his feet and have whined on all season suggesting the most heavily funded manager in the history of the club was in fact being short changed in the readies department. Mind you, he might be a bit surprised you have cashed in your years old get Tone out of jail card quite so early just in case he manages to feck up his golden chance. ;D

WOOLYSTANTON....Well we all know that St Peter was slow at coming forward until just recently...
I think it was my gentle persuasion that ultimately proved crucial.

Ah, I see mumf. It must have been your sweet talk then.
;D
Some boring ex supporter cunt keeps trying to interrupt the praise St Peter thread with his usual level of stupidity and irrelevance.

But it's up to the playing staff now.

Yes well done Peter for righting your wrongs that took us to the lowest ebb of our history. I didn't believe you would do it when you came back, but fair play to you, you are putting your money in where it counts.
Over to you TP.

Rudgie was supposed to do fuck all, which he did with his usual aplomb The way I heard it was that he fucked everything up by inserting unacceptable clauses into the player's contracts. At least I think it was unacceptable clauses!

Absolutely Momo, TP has obviously given Coatsey his shopping list and Coatsey has delivered.
It's now down to TP and HIS Players to finish the job.

I was not the biggest fan of Peter Coates, and was not very happy when he bought the club. The memories from the mid 90s still lingered, and the old saying about leopards and spots was ringing in my ears.
It's time to eat some humble pie and to say that I'm very impressed by the comittment he has shown towards SCFC, and his will to get us promoted. To be quite honest: I'm mightily impressed and grateful. If we don't get promoted this season then it's not down to PC. On the contrary, he laid the foundations and made it possible. Now it's down to TP to convert PC' efforts into a promotion. Well done, PC.

Indeed and I'm not saying that Pulis shouldn't carry the whole can should we fail, they are the harsh realities of football management but the exisiting players need to perform a little better than they have done of late and new ones need to justify the unprecedented sums of money we’ve spent on putting them in the shop window in these final few weeks.

Absolutely.
He needs to motivate his players to the finish line and in turn the players have to respond.

I hate to be the one to butt in on the love in, sorry. It's just I wonder if it's that generous? And not just good management of the fixed:variable asset ratio ... That doesn't make it bad ... we need more love ins on here ... But you might want to tone it down a little bit, or it's going to make it too obvious that you've hacked these accounts ... Thanks! ChirperDid you post that image with all the possible meanings in mind?! ah

LOL. I notice the slant on possible failure is already being shifted towards the players. First it was Magnus, then came the supporters, then Bossie then Scholes, then Coates and lastly, Pulis.
Like winger and pugs, I have a fookin' long memory.
*I know!

Using your logic then OS if we do go up, it will be entirely down to Pulis and the players will deserve little if any credit. I look forward to your postings on the matter if you have removed yourself from Bossies bottom by then

No, Vic....it will be down to the many thousands of supporters like me who have stuck with the club through fick and fin while Coates was lining his pockets at our expense. Without us, whether we rim Bossie or not, we would have no club. If we get success, then that is our reward for supporting them while they were wank and I've no intention of licking either Coates's or Pulis's arse for that. They both owe us big style. OS.

yep me too - as much as he's been bad in the past - it is plain he means business
so -feeling rather strange - I doff my cap to the 'watery eyed - looking near death, complete and utter mercenary, self interested bastard of a football club chairman'.

I take on board Andy H's comments and we can bicker about how much he has actually had to put in and what benefits he takes out but:
One thing is for certain he has done what the management is supposed to do and really made things happen.
Bloody good things too.
It was right and proper to be very skeptical about his return as heavens knows what division of what league we would be fighting our way out of now if he had remained without the Icelanders coming in to stop the destruction that was taking place before our eyes but he has done the biz this time around

You can't say I didn't try, OS I just thought people might like to hang on with the beatification, at least until the old fella's actually sitting at the feet of the Lord. And anyway ... you need a promoter of the faith to keep all these petitioners and procurators on the straight and narrow ... I'm just making sure the so-called saint really is one! ah
