Ill tell where he would be suited, if we ever had to do a man to man marking job, he would stick like glue.

Cort has scored 8 goals guys lets not forget that, However he does worry the shit out of me at the back. But the equalizer Sat may be the 1 point that gets us into the prem, £1.5m is then peanuts me thinks.

Miffmister - you forget that he also scored a goal for the opposition on Saturday. That could equally cost us promotion, as could the spin on the ball that took it wide when the goalkeeper's clearance rebounded off Sidibe, or Cresswell's doziness, or our missed chances at Preston.

It's always interesting to see how different peoples views are on certain players. As things are getting tighter and we aren't performing so well we are seeing more of them come under scrutiny; Mama, Whelan, Cresswell, Griffin, Cort and Simo. They are all good players and Pulis has done well to attract them to our club, it speaks volumes that we are disappointed with their performances and shows how far we have come.
For me Cort is the best CB since Danny H we have had; he wins alot of headers, gets alot of blocks in, tackles well. Plays it steady and doesn't do anything rash. It's very rare that he will put us in a worse position. Not only is he good defensively but he gets the goals too. Comparing him to our other centre backs is fair; at present he is the most complete and probably the quickest.
At the moment the scariest signing for me is Shawcross; just hope that we get alot of actual ability instead of just signing him on potential because he has been nurtured by MUTD.
As for Gabi, he's pretty athletic but as a footballer he does frighten me although Saturday was one of his best games particularly as Riggot couldn't handle Burgess but he could. If we can sign him for about 300k it would be nice to see how he would develop being a potter permanently.

Cort, although expensive, is nowhere near the Sweeney / Williams category of "crap Pulis signings".
8 goals is a great return for a defender, and means he has won us more points than he has lost us. His heading isn't gay, it's fucking brilliant! Although he certainly looks a little light footed...
He'd be no good in the prem though as his lack of pace and poor tackling would get him found out early on. If we don't go up though he'd be fine for another campaign.
Zak is a determined, tenacious player who will run through a brick wall for the cause. If we could just improve his distribution he'd be a great asset and well worth a fee in the summer.

Zakuani is an honest professional. He never shouts his mouth off, he just gets on with the job effectively and quitely. Although he hasn't played much this season, everytime he comes on he gives a solid performance and doesn't appear to lack match fitness. He would be a good acquisition for Stoke in the summer to get him signed up permanently as he rarely gets beaten for pace, is a good tackler and is good in the air. His distribution is bound to improve with games and do we really need defenders to play defence splitting passes???
Come on Stoke make a good investment for the present and future. Sign him up!

Worst distributor of the ball at the club, but he can tackle, pass and mark very capably. No way his distribution is worse than Dickinson's, which would be nigh on impossible.

He is a better defender than Cort so why did we waste all that money when we are crying out for a partner for Fuller?

Zak is a better centre half than both Shawcross and Cort imo. He's always looked superb at centre back. He is thoroughly wank though at right back.

as mentioned above, he hasn't played much for us this season, but whenever he comes on he does not seem short of match fitness and gives a solid display. I think that's all we can ask for from him. Will be great if we can sign him permanently
Well done Zak!

Much better at C.B than R.B. Its strange that although Griff. is right footed , he plays better as a L.B.Why is this?
