Here it is Very briefly – meeting was between Fans Forum, Tony Scholes and his team. Salient points only
The intent of the club to make the Family Stand into a place that under 14’s can come, enjoy and not be subject to the more unsavoury side of things including language, threats, abuse is shared by the vast majority IMHO. TS stated that this was the clubs intent and though in hindsight may have handled it slightly differently the overall outcome would be the same. He stated that he sympathized with the few families caught up in the timing but this would always be the case no matter when it was done. He changed the position with families having to move from the family area if the “under 14” was not present at night matches as the Club clearly saw they had made a mistake with that. He stated that if any family group needed a little time to think on the best place to go in the ground on a permanent basis – contact Chris and he will help in any way he can. There is also a belief that the families who have to move for a day time fixture due to the under 14 not being with them have to pay the increase in ticket price. That is not so – the family may move to ANY area of the ground at NO increase in cost – for that match. The club will steward the Family area as well as they can next season in order to maintain the area as suitable for the under 14’s and this will be aided if the valid supporters support the stewards with any actions that need to be taken. Generally the Forum supports strongly the direction the club have taken in making the Family stand a good place for kids and though there were a number of details that the forum did not agree with the overall intent is clearly correct. IF the Forum had had a member representing the Family stand when these discussions first took place about 3 weeks ago – I am sure there would have been subtle and different changes to the implementation which would have not created as much upset and concern. However – we did not. The Forum would like to formally invite a member from the Family stand to join – indeed supporters from all areas of the ground would be very welcome both by the Forum and the club. Do not worry if you think you are “a little too outspoken” – you are not – the Forum membership make their points very clearly to the club and on the whole the points/discussions are well received. So what he's saying is Stoke want to make the Family stand a better environment for families with under 14 children and the penalties for those having to move is now negligable?
Sounds OK to me.
If there's no extra cost, get in the JS Lower stand, block 15 to 18... Little or no swearing really.... Mind you - Not much singing either which is always a disappointment.

It's alright using my thread for a recruitment drive but I have emailed the fans forum twice on the matter & have not had the courtesy of a reply. Perhaps the fans forum should have posted what was going on 3 weeks ago if they knew then & that might have given time for something to be done.

PMac On the occassion that you have to move from your seat in the Family stand due to your under 14 not being with you then for that match there would be no additional cost. Correct. Wonto Again talking with the Chairman of the Fans Forum yesterday - he said that initially he had mistakenly assumed that replies he had given - one was to you - but he did say that he now had your email and had replied - that was yesterday. Recruitment drive - yes and unashamably for if you joined the Forum Wonto - then they would have your detailed and informed opinion on anything that affected your area. That would help you and many others in your area. When the meeting on tickets took place three weeks ago - it was a consultation to cover all areas that all could think of. If you had been present - you would immediately have picked up more than we could for the family stand. There were also one or two things in the final outcome that we were not aware of either. Bottom line is - the Forum are the proverbial Jack of All Trades - you guys are the masters and that is why we ask you to join.
