Considering there was talk of Tuncay possibly moving on he has really done well to keep his head down and bag 5 goals in 5 games. I cant think of any other striker in the prem having a similar strike rate in pre-season so far so hats off to him and lets hope he keeps it going. Frazier Campell has scored 6 in 4/5 and Carlton Cole has scored 4 in 4. The young Man united striker has scored a few(Hernandez or something like that, the young Mexican) as well has Cameron Jerome. Hope this helps

I like Tuncay but I think many people are getting carried away. Five goals in pre-season is good but three did come against Newcastle Town, two of which were tap-ins after Louis Moult did the hard work. Last season Tuncay started thirteen Prem games and we won fourteen points from them. Last season Mama started eighteen and we won 23 points, which is a better average interestingly. There's no question that Tuncay is a better footballer than Mama, but with the way we play he's not always been as effective. Mama got to start with Fuller Tuncay had to start with a Donkey

haha this rigsbys bloke what a pillock, bet he thinks mama is our best player, seeing as he is trying to argue about tuncay being ours, arsehole ;D Excuse me? Stop making up things, and speak sense. Where did i say Mama was our best player? I didn't. However, Tuncay is not our best, i'll give you that, errr arsehole ;D

from the stoke site 'mesmerising stuff from the jamacian. him and tuncay are looking good together' this is what we want to see our two best strikers combining and scoring tunny and fuller vs wolves hopefully we'll smash the fucking dingles

Pre-Season means absolutely nothing.
If Tuncay had scored 0 in 5, it wouldn't have mattered one jot. The same goes for the fact he's got 5 in 5 against some pretty average opposition.
People with longer memories will remember Dave Brammer's first pre-season here where he looked better than Andrea Pirlo. As soon as the season kicked off he looked more like Ian Scott.
Dare I mention Henrik "Zizou" Risom?
;D

Doesn't matter the level though - a striker scoring goals is a happy, keen, confident striker. It may only be pre-season but I'd far rather happy, keen and confident than anything else! ;D

If the strikers can gain confidence banging in goals, no matter the opposition, it can only help their play this season!

Just got back. First half we passed it around well. Nicely taken goals by Tunch and Fuller. Sorensen failed to punch and was at fault for their goal. Second half both teams made a load of subs and Rovers were probably the better team. Not a bad evening's entertainment. Stoke players congratulate travelling fans: Stokies in the tent and terrace: Gas 1 Stoke 2:

Abdy's falling apart.
Doesn't seem like he can be relied upon.
If he wasn't going to, you can't see Pulis not buying another centre-half now Abdy's injury-plaguedness has continued into another season

Andy seemed to be walking off a knock behind Sorro's goal, didn't look like what you'd do with a hamstring, looked more of a knock.

i was at the game tonight and it was a game of 2 halves the 1st have was entertaining with chances at both ends. the second half was boring and seemed to go on forever. tuncays goal was well worked but it was lucky that it came back to him to put it in the net. rovers goal was sloppy defending and slightly worrying and fuller just dances around and took the piss out of the goal keeper.
tuncay and fuller worked well at front tonge had a good game and so did faye untill he came off with what looked to be a hamstring injury. marshall was impressive when he came on and delivered some good crosses.
my man of the match is tuncay

Surely Shawcross and the Huthenator should be our first choice pairing at the back now and Abdy should start on the bench. However, we've not even been linked with a right back this transfer window have we?

... and James BT played ok too ! He's looking fit and confident - don't mind if he stays at all, so long as he wants to show the same effort as tonight. BT's a better option than Mama and will certainly score goals in the prem.

Just got back. Good first half, not so good second, probaly due to the amount of changes made but overall a good night with plently of good chants throughout the night.
