or 101 ways to improve the club, the match day experience etc.
In no particular order
1) Increase space in the Boothen and Seddon concourses , easiest way would be to build the food/beverage blocks on the outside , to the same width they are now , removing the interior structures , thus creating a fair bit more space. And add queuing barriers like they have at Cov's new ground.
2) Run supporters coaches direct from the main bus stations of Hanley, Newcastle, and all towns within 20 miles such as Stafford, Stone, Leek, Uttoxeter, Market Drayton . Charlton run coaches from all over Kent
3) I've said it before, advertise games on buses. bus stops and bill boards around North Staffs, many clubs do this including premier league clubs .
4) Get rid of Pottermus, I propose a new mascot , a red n white Bottle Kiln , I recall a stoke city logo from the '80s that was a bottle kiln . We are the POTTERS even if most of the industry is gone. We should embrace that more
5) Dump the current badge, bring back the original badge , but not the early 90's version which was in fact the full city crest , complete with feathers ... I mean the simple shield that we had before the early 80's badge
6) Set up a "Potters Radio" , sign up nige to do the commentary , bring in someone young to learn the ropes from him and get them commentating on the reserve games . Have phone in shows before and after games and broadcast all the Meet the manager/chairman type events . It could also be broadcast on SCworld , replacing BBC radio stoke . With a few adverts here and there it wouldn't cost much . Quite a few teams have their own radio stations .
7) MAKE THE ONLINE TICKETING SYSTEM WORK ASAP (to do this I'd just get my wife to fix it, or set up a team to fix it. (she currently manages a software test team @ a world renowned name in the financial services sector)
8) Sort out the club shop, so it actually stocks things people want to buy through out the entire season
9) Introduce a singing section , so that those that want to sing can congregate together to improve the atmosphere
10) Organize a park and ride scheme such as they have @ sunderland
11) Have a "Walk of Legends" , a new bust on a plinth every season (find a cheaper sculptor than the current one, who seems very expensive) with a poll to choose the next one . Positioned along the front of the main stand . Although Tony Waddington would be the first
12) Employ "car park stewards" to stop the free for all after games
13) Reduce the cost of the seats on the Curve , they should be a few quid cheaper . many clubs do this
14) Get a Big screen
15) Enroll all season ticket holders in the ID card scheme , and look to relax the ID card scheme in the future , first by allowing pay on the gate for games where we won't sell out , and then removing it completely from low profile games
16) Stop playing music when we score
17) Commission some local Graffiti artist to do murals on the great expanses of grey concrete on all the concourses to brighten them up a bit, scenes from our history and famous players/goals etc .
18) Offer a free Stoke shirt and half price match ticket to anyone "giving in" a glory hunter shirt (charlton have done this in the past)
19) let u17's back on official coaches , just ban the trouble makers , we have a computer system ... use it
20) Introduce a Loyalty card/points system like wolves have
well there's 20 to be getting on with

i said it before but...
...the background on here with all the old players should be used to cover all the grey concrete in the ground, it would look ace
(oh and before some smart arse comments, i mean blow the pictures up bigger so you can see them rather than leave them the size they are already)

Begin to construct a museum at the club, would take time, and could only be a room at the moment, but would grow and grow.

i agree with what Dave has to say. even though i get to one game every 32 years living in America, i thought the stadium when i saw it against Ispwich is definitely lacking many things. someone said the bare concrete around the stands, paint it or cover it with real advertising boards not plastic sheet ones. Billboards around the city and area advertsing for "YOU" to come watch the amazing Potters. If not a walk of fame maybe on the bare concrete around the upper stands the name and number of past Stoke legends. dont wait til they die to put something up now. Gordon Banks should be up there, Terry Conroy, John RIchie (i saw the bust the day they put it up, very nice) Stanley Matthews, a ring of names around the stadium for all to see. Defintiely make the concourses wider. Exiting out of the stadium from the Seddon stand i think it was and having to walk up those 2 narrow paths up that hill. Dig all that out and put up really wide stairs for all to leave . close the road above it to traffic for 2 hrs before and after the game. Be proud and show off the whole ground, all these things will make it a more enjoyable experience

"close the road above it to traffic for 2 hrs before and after the game."
umm, how do people get into the car parks if that road is closed ? or into the Power League, the Harvester, The Hotel and all the other business's on the site ?

i go to games over here all the time when the crowd is 50, 60, 70,000 every time, not the 17-23,000 Stoke gets. roads around the stdiums are either closed (and you have to park away from the stadiumand walk in, or Police controlled into a 1 way road for parking traffic. makes walking up to the stadiums much easier and there isnt some bloody big over grown grass hill in front of them with 2 narrow paths for 8,000 people to walk up ots called making things better for the fans. rememebr the subject of your thread ??

I'm just wondering why people would want to walk to the car parks, when their cars wont be there, as the access road has been shut for 2 hours before and after the game .
it would be good to have the car parks somewhere else, but they aren't , and the road you want to shut is the main road in ... 10-15 mins before and after would be fine

I work opposite the ground - closing that road for the period of time you suggest would a) stop customers getting to us and b) me getting home.
I understand the idea but, as the road layout stands at the moment, it isn't practical and the road serves more than just the britannia stadium.
