Interest from other clubs is growing by the day. I think we would be lucky to sign him, actually. But if we do, I wouldn't be disappointed.

Ledley is going Celtic, meaning Loro is staying. Just been on local radio up here in Belfast!

Can't see Whitehead getting into many other prem midfields. Now, Ledley at less than a mil is a deal. He cuts it we have a good player at a bargin price, he doesn't, the likes of Sheff U, Forrest, Burnley will pay us easily that amount for what is a very capable young fizzy pop midfielder. Win win really.

Reports seem to indicate Ledley will cost around £3m, presumably without the need to go to a tribunal
I'm not sure that'll prove to be a bargain.
But time will tell.
Hopefully it'll prove a better £3m than Olofinjana!

TBH, FM, £3 mil gets not alot anyway nowadays. If he signs then great if he doesn't, I won't loose much sleep. Think he could prove to be a shrewd buy tho. And we do need something in midfield, anything will be an improvement! Rather TP had a look at whitingham tho.

I've actually got a good feeling about Ledley and Stoke. Don't ask me why. Then again, I had a good feeling about Jan Dirk Shreuder. I had a better feeling about Dave Rowson ;D

Would we have to pay compensation for him? If so, would that be set by the panel that decided the compensation for Commons etc?

I think the panel will make us pay a hefty price. Cardiff always seem to get good money for their players and I think they provide the panel with a great argument. Lets hope if he signs the panel are their usual cuntish selves and we get him for as cheap as possible.

I just hope the £6 million bid doesn't come back to haunt us. It's great leverage.

I think that we must be breathing a sigh of relief that that pompous cuntbag Ridsdale wouldn't sell him to us for 6 mill last season, and I bet the shyster is kicking himself he didn't sell to us. Personally I would have liked us to go for Whittingham, because Ledley has been largely anonymous the times I've watched him, apart from that goal he scored in the play-off final. That said if we can get him in for less than 2 mill, I reckon he's worth a crack. And considering he's out of contract this month we might even get him on a free. He's better than Whitehead and Whelan at any rate.

He's had a piss poor 2 years Momo. You've obviously got a real hatred for this lad because despite missing big parts of the season before last through injury he was still in the Championship team of the year - Now please explain how he can get in that team with a piss poor season? He's a talented player with a good future ahead of him provided he doesn't get any more injuries.

To be fair, those teams of the seasons seem to be voted, mainly based on reputation and name recognition, by disinterested players, in December.
There was a period when Kavanagh and Caskey were shoo-ins for the League 1 team for 123 years, regardless of actual performance ;D

He's a talented player with a good future ahead of him provided he doesn't get any more injuries. And he didn't miss big parts of the season before last as he played 40 league games. So my eyes deceived me then and he was brilliant? He was as he was this season, sitting in the middle, passing the ball 4 yards, being slow and not doing very much. As for RAF's comment he's better than Whitehead and Whelan based on what?

Based on he is faster, possesses more skill and can actually move forwards instead of sideways and most importantly he can pass to feet.

Fair doo's. But that hasn't been the Ledley of the last 2 years and from looking at his record it seems his hype is based on one season where he scored 10 goals which was 3 years ago. Since that he has scored 5 league goals and when he has played he looks slow and has played in a holding midfield and Whittingham has played the attacking role. If TP would allow him freedom we may get that Ledley of 3 seaasons ago but freedom and TP don't often go hand in hand. That and Whelan and Whitehead are better than him.

i dont really rate whelan, not consistent enough. basically a champ player that we havnt been able to replace with a prem version (im not saying ledley is the answe btw).
whelan and ledley are only international players because they are not english that said i do believe we need better than both but ledley will be an excellent squad player better than what we have
