Could be another space in the 30-man squad though?
Will it go to Jagielka or Shawcross?
Or is Lescott fit?

If Terry does not go to the World Cup. The rest of the players will be wondering what the fuck he's up to back in Blighty.

I can't believe he was a Mancienne/Wheater 'pick for experience' in Capello's last pre-World Cup squad. As of mid-Feb1 Ferdinand 2 Terry 3 Upson 4 Lescott 5 Shawcross Now1 Ferdinand 2 Terry3 Upson 4 King 5 Carragher 6 Dawson 7 ?? LescottJagielka Cahill Campbell Shawcross

Carragher is in there first and foremost as a back up right back isn't he?

on the plus side for terry, at least it will prevent the world realising what a bog standard defender he is........terry, your secret is safe for now.

Carragher is in there first and foremost as a back up right back isn't he? Yeah. True. Bizarrely, he's apparently the 2nd best right-back in the whole of England.

Right back really is a problem position. Johnson is iffy, Carragher is slow, Neville is iffy and slow, Richards is iffy and fat, Onouha (sp) is Nigerian and then that leaves Wilko! ;D

Onuoha declined the Nigerian invite, didn't he?
I think he may be the next best bet at RB, even though it's not his best position.
If anything happened to Johnson, the cupboard is literally bare, isn't it?
Capello would probbly only consider Neville and Richards as viable contenders

I haven't a clue Grapey but hopefully he has because he is a good defender and I'd welcome him in the England team at right back.
We really do have a limited number of decent options there.

Carragher has already been called back into the fold after years and years in the wilderness.
Now we have this injury news regarding Terry so Capello will no doubt need to bring another defender in.
If I were Tony Adams, I’d have my mobile handy.
