well O'Leary's was the old venue , but we'd have to check they don't have some band on that night , as that kind of hampered the conversation at the last one

They probably wont have a band on but they have a disco on Saturday nights, Wetherspoons in Stoke might be a better venue.

O' Leary's was always the venue of OBPU's , what time does the disco start ? can't see they'd have space for one to be honest

Last OBPE. they had a band playing on the right hand side when you walk through the door...Not musc room for anything else up that little corner...
We were deafened by the band...basically we were sharring seats with the drummer

No it's not a big pub Dave, the dj is up the corner, to the right as you walk through the front door.

we'll have to see, we could always de-camp to somewhere nearby and quieter if its on

The disco will be on as it is on every Friday and Saturday, the room down the stairs is a bit quieter, so you will have no problems holding a conversation down there. Of course there are plenty of other pubs within less than a 5 minute walk, so if it's shit the OBPU can always move on.

You can use our clubhouse at Hanley Town if you want a room for upto 120 people. see link for a look at the venue hanleytown.co.uk/page4.phpWould need to know in advance if you want it to arrange staffing etc. Also talk of one after the Bank Holiday Charity Football Event.

All,
which option do you prefer? Easter after the Blackpool game or after the Bank Holiday Charity Football Event.
Let me know as we will need to organise bar staff to keep your thirsts quenched.

Thanks for the offer Hanley Town, can I get back to you on that, I myself would prefer to use our old venue due to its proximity to Sangam's curry house

one last time then, doesn't seem much interest , which is a shame, if we can't get a proper one organised, i may just send private messages to a few people who used to go to them and see if we can organise something amongst ourselves
