Mumf:
that's two unfathomable questions and the first one with no logical answer.
You are only allowed one per thread.
It's the rules.

Probably because he's got another 18 months left on a £200,000-a-year deal He knows he'll never get another anywhere near it.

Might sound v. cruel but we missed a big chance to get rid when he went playing Wacky Races on the A38 or whatever it was.
Ooops. Sorry. That was his Dad of course, silly me.
He's taking up valuable squad space & we must surely cut our losses next year?
Wonder if there really was anything in the Blackpool swap rumour?
But they did alright anyway - they got Dickov who's scoring for fun.

Many posters have shown there displeasure at Parkin but let's be honest he's not as bad as Pericard.....and he's not been to prison..Yet.!!
He seems to have avoided the majority of the flack...

Got to agree with Davef here Mumf, better ask 'the messiah'. The 'divine mystery': Porkin, Pericard, Buxton, Pulis Jr ... Will he EVER play for Stoke again..? ??? Yep, I fully expect to see 'Vince', and 'Beast' for that matter, strutting their stuff in our Premiership side next season!

For all those who unreservedly praise Pulis' transfer dealings, the name of Vincent Pericard will surely be added to that of Paul Williams as evidence of the great one's fallibility.
I can honestly say that some of his appearances (I was going to use the word performances, but that would be stretching it somewhat) have been right up there with the worst examples of football "play" (again a term used very loosely) perpetrated in a Stoke shirt that I have witnessed.
We need to do a deal to pay up his contract and let him loose to find a Conference club to employ him instead to loiter to no great effect, and occasionally fall over, on a football pitch.

Jezza.... I think Pulis himself would agree that this was his worst mistake...He might do a job for Port Vale..

Pulis bought Pericard on the sole basis of what he did when portsmouth went up that season, he assumed he would get him back to his best and be able to replicate that....we all knew differently though didnt we....

am i the only person who thinks this?
When he comes on from the bench he is a menace and causes all sorts of problems for the oppositions defenders.

He's the only one who can drive down to Wrights Pies and back to fetch Porkin's pies and them still be piping hot when he gets back with 'em.

I believe the reason we didn't sack him was because we knew about the incident when we signed him? TP was his manager at Plymouth at the time, I think, and took the risk.

I though he looked a good player when he first came.
Our club has changed, though.
Pulis has raised our expectations and he isn't good enough for what we want to achieve.
Don't think the fans will ever give him a chance.
Shame.
He does need to move
