Used to love the feeling of walking into Review and feeling like I was a rape suspect just by the looks from the staff. Doubt it's changed.

We got some massive white T-shirts with african patterns from there. Then they moved to the Tontines upstairs. The hope street shop was owned by a bodybuilder/bouncer type who played Steely Dan regularly coz they were his favourite band. Got some good stuff there about 1990ish. Both fuckin' shop names escape me...

Wade Smith was legendary ... yellow soled Forest Hills! But as I come from Winsford, most of my (Liverpool supporting) mates would tell you, that the best clobber shops of the early 80's were from the shops they were robbing on the continent on their European cup travels. I still shop in Infinities to this day ... infact was in there today. Great for Paul Smith.

Early 80's chauners hope street Chauners goes way back before early 80's. Remember getting me Ben Sherman shirts. two-tone tonics, braided jackets, crombie coats(with yellow studed hankie in top pocket) levis, loafer shoes with tassles. That was 10 years earlier in early 70's.

Out of interest Slicko, is your brother (Paul Hagues mate) called Mark?
