Wolstanton was a two club village back in the day. Wanderers and Utd. Utd played on the lower marsh on a sloping pitch and Wanderers played on upper marsh, quagmire of a pitch, opposite the Cricketers Arms. Utd were the more successful team but both equally supported with crowds of 20-30 often attending. View AttachmentWanderers in the large check shirts I think. It may even be vs Utd because they played in maroon shirts. For those watching in black and white, Utd are in the maroon shirts! 😉

I had a perm in the late 70s. How is it working out? It's worked out now - it was 45 years ago! I was going out with a hairdresser at the time.

It would help if some of the players had a spine.

Ideally we can can win 3 of: - Huddersfield - Swansea - Sheff Wednesday - Bristol City - Plymouth And then hopefully some bonus points against: - Norwich - Hull - Baggies - Southampton We should be fine. The players just need to maintain the attitude and work ethic they've shown this week until the end of the season. I think we need 2 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats. So - Norwich - Hull - Baggies - Southampton Defeats and the rest unbeaten with a couple of wins. Lots of teams down there have to play one another so I still think 50 points will be enough. Edit: having said all that, it wouldn't be good for moral if we lost the next 2 games!

If we lose tonight, which I think we will, we will be in the bottom 3 obviously and I don't think this manager or the team have the balls to pull us out of the situation. We have been in the same scenario before but have somehow pulled ourselves clear, this lot don't seem up for any relegation fight.i hope I am proved wrong but the signs are not good. ....not if Huddersfield lose as well.

Folk should closely at the table and Goals For and Against. It's pretty obvious that our biggest issue so far this season is scoring goals, not conceding them. SS was very clear post-Sunderland that he wasn't concerned with the defensive side of things. His focus seemed to be all about converting chances. I was amazed he didn't think the gaping holes at FB position were a cause for concern. He just seemed to dismiss the issue and got back on to talking about attacking. Brave man! p.s. I note that the Plymouth fans when referring to SS use $$ instead. Is using SS really that bad? Just asking. I just find it quicker to write SS than Schumacher or $$. I think they now refer to him as $$ because he came to us for the money.
