We have not been selected for any live games in December ( although the 30th games have not yet been announced). The FSF is pleased that, after a lot of campaigning and pressure behind the scenes on both the Premier League clubs and the broadcasters, there are no TV games scheduled for christmas eve, although this had been the broadcasters original intention. Well done to all those involved in that. Was looking early today to see if the Spurs game was on tv I case the time was changed.I did notice West Ham are on 5 times till the end of November.

We have a competent chairman who talks and behaves like a genuine supporter and a load of fickle supporters who talk and behave like a bunch of clueless chairmen. We're lucky its that way round. Dread to think where we'd be if some of the people on this board had it their way. We would have had about 6 managers in 10 years as opposed to just 2. I am waiting for some numb nut to say we should have Cotterill back as manger now he's won a game at Birmingham.

Joselu, unless he has suddenly developed more pace and power, and a good deal more urgency to his play, should be meat and drink for Bruno, Kurt and Kev. Other than Bruno for Cameron, I would play the same starting XI. Yes, Jese is not totally match fit yet, but he still provides more threat in bursts than Sadio does with all the huffing and puffing he does. He scored v the Arse and would have done v Man U without a world class save denying him. He deserves a few games against the lesser lights of the league to see if he can look even more of a threat in games when we will be the better team and, hopefully, he can notch a few more. Joselu does not seem to happy with Stoke. www.nufc.co.uk/nufc-tv/latest-videos/joselu-speaks-ahead-of-stoke

The most interesting part of the article is at the bottom .Did Imbula turn Monaco down.Looks like we going to get stuck with him. Torino have rekindled their interest in Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula, who has also been a target for Monaco. Mark Hughes made it clear at the end of last season that things have not worked out for Imbula and the midfielder's future at the club has been under scrutiny ever since. Torino showed early interest in the player last month and there was talk of the Italians tabling a loan bid with an option to buy, but the Serie A side moved on to other targets. However, with just a few days left in the summer window, Torino have reignited their interest in Imbula, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport. They are interested in snapping up the Frenchman before Thursday's deadline and are confident of agreeing a deal with Stoke. Monaco held talks with the player earlier in the window, but couldn't convince him to move to Ligue 1. He must be fucking mental if he turned Monaco down. Did read some time back that he would like to more to Turkey because his Wife had lived there for a number of years. So it might be he's only going to move to where he wants to go or he sit tight on his contract.

His smile! Doesn't seem too sold on the idea of playing wing back does he 😂 Does not sound very happy. Playing a 3-4-2-1 during the first game of the season against Everton, Mark Hughes decided to use striker Mame Biram Diouf at wing-back. Not exactly skilled in the defensive department, the 29-year-old performed as best he could, but he wasn’t exactly delighted about it. In fact, Diouf isn’t entirely happy with how he’s being used at Stoke in general, which is primarily down the right-hand side, as he told Senepeople in his home country. He said: “They tricked me! What can I do about it? They trapped me because I originally played there to help out when we needed someone to help out due to lack of options. I did it, and after that I’m not sure what happened. You’ll have to ask the manager.” Refusing to be compared to Victor Moses, Mame Biram Diouf admitted he’ll have to make do with the situation, even if it’s not what he wants, because ‘it’s football and I like to play football’. While doing what is needed to help the team is commendable, his national team manager, Aliou Cissé, addressed his striker’s problems in a press conference relayed by Senego, urging the Stoke forward to find a new club if he isn’t happy. He said: “He’s not forced to stay at Stoke. I think there comes a time when you need to take your own responsibilities. Players need to, at some stage, decide what they want at club level. “It’s easy to say I’m not happy and stay. No, I think that if you’re not happy, you leave, otherwise don’t say anything and do what the manager tells you to do.” The ball is in your court, Mr Diouf.

The whole league can unite in laughing at Wet Sham. Fucking abysmal team Hart could have done better with Pogba's but that's about it Zabaleta was our best defender AND attacking midfielder by a country mile Masuaku overrated (suprise suprise) Arnautovic quiet is he politest way to put it Ayew dogshit on the wing as normal Obiang and Fernandes were poor Noble out best CM by far Hernandez needs Lanzini and Antonio back in our XI, our other attacking support is crap Rice will be a good player, stuck his foot in more than Obiang and Fernandes in midfield Sakho didn't look interested after 5 mins Despite a lot of ****... first half I thought was promising... we lacked some steal in the middle (Carvalho) and some quality in our attacking midfielders (Antonio and Lanzini) If we get Carvalho in, and at least Antonio back (hopefully Lanzini too) I think we will beat Southampton and everyone can calm down

So he was playing at the top top level, I watched him ripping it up for Madrid a few years back. Did he wake up one day and he'd lost everything? Who are you hoping we sign? Ronaldo? He missed 9 months with a completely torn ACL. In light of Bojan, that's got to be in the back of your mind when you see how his post-injury career has panned out Jese Rodriguez and Paris Saint-Germain do not seem convinced by the idea of a two-year Fiorentina loan with option to buy, claim reports. There had been suggestions in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday that the clubs were close to an agreement, even with PSG paying a large percentage of his wages. However, the Corriere dello Sport and Sportitalia warn the situation has hit problems already and now seems far less likely to reach a positive conclusion. The Ligue 1 giants would prefer a permanent sale to recoup some of the €25m they paid to sign him from Real Madrid last summer. Sportitalia maintain the Spanish player is not happy at the idea of joining Fiorentina and believes the Premier League is better suited to his characteristics. He spent the last six months on loan at Las Palmas in La Liga.

Let me guess .. he's free 😞 They paid 25m euros this time last year, so doubtful. looks like buying him outright. Furthermore, another Italian outlet – La Nazione – believes Jese has chosen Stoke as his next destination after they made a sudden surge forward in negotiations and offered to buy him outright.

Somebody was probably pissing in the sink again Amazing how anyone can tell the difference between sink stands and loo in that hell hole of a ground .... wooden Stands for thousands of fans and 100 mill spent on players Got to love the hypocrisy on Miseryside I Think Dexta's quote was tongue in cheek, don't know if you read the thread about "pissing in the sink" it was a quiet funny tread that like most threads on here that in the end got out of hand.😀

Burnley paid £9m for him then sold him for more than £18m. There were 3m worth of add odds which he achieved on goals scored, promotion and premiership survival taking the total fee to 12m. My Mate who supports Brentford says they will get 2 mill from the transfer.

Music during a game? FFS Nooooo... leave that to other small time clubs. However, if it's music to build up an atmosphere before the teams come out. it's got to be ROCK! The Pretender is a classic, wish they would have put a proper version of that club video up on YouTube.. it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I see it. Thunderstruck is fab and The Boys are back in Town is not bad too. Aa anyone who ever went to a rock disco like The Highwayman in the 70's will attest, there are some great rock intro's that when played loud are infectious and will build an atmosphere, for example... Remember going to see Alex Havery at the Vic [ground] they where supporting Yes,watch there set and as soon as yes came on left. There was so many places around the Stoke area to listen to Music .From the large venues like Trentham Gardens to the small like the George Hotel.

Megson did very well here in trying circumstances. That's a strong management team that WBA will need looking at their squad. He's had a couple of jobs where he's been sacked for no fault of his own.

Replacing Dave Kemp who's retired This made me laugh from the Guardian. In an effort to curb Tony Pulis’s wildest creative excesses, West Brom have appointed Gary Megson as their new assistant manager.

cobham – we’ve signed as many duds as goodens but you’re right, we seem to quickly (within two windows) dispose of those that don’t cut it and rarely lose money. Last season Bilic was trying to pad out the squad for our long involvement in the Euro league and when that went all poohy early doors was left with a big squad of middling unmotivated journeymen. The Payet situation didn't help but most of those brought in made little improvement to the first team and this season buying to improve the starting 11. Having said that: Nordtweit - Free - sold back to Germany £7m Feghouli - Free - Galatasary £3-4m Randolf - Free - Middlesbrough £5m Fletcher - Free - Middlesbrough £8m - in fact Middlesbrough pretty much paid for Hernandez!! Valencia has also gone £8m to Tigres. So far as Arnie; you think WHU tapped him up, when for me it reads just as probable the other way. The more the noise on Arnie drags on the more it seems less about the money imo. I‘m sure Lanzini’s agent is well aware of any interest in his client - tapping up is normal business in the PL regrettably (I'd suggest Liverpool are in a league of their own in that respect) and if Coutinho’s valued at £90m, Lanzini’s must be at least £50m – so he can go with my blessing on that reasoning as much as he'd be missed and difficult to replace. gonk – from what I’ve read the sale of the Boleyn (£38m) cleared the bank debts with the rest spent on our contribution to the publicly owned O/S conversion and the move itself. Cheers had not seen anything about what price you got.Did think it might have been split 3 ways..😉.

I suppose we’ll find out when we meet and over the coming season who’s done the better business this summer and whether Arnies made a good move. The game at your place will have an edge for sure. For the record we’ve shifted (either released/sold/end of loan) 10 first team squad players (so far) raising the best part of £30m and £350Kpw wages. I hope we're not making too many changes in one go but if there's a time to do it - it's now I guess. With Fletcher (a free last summer) likely to go to Middlesbrough for £8m, Adrian to Newcastle or CP for the same, Feghouli to Galatasaray for £5m, Collins to Everton and with Snodgrass getting interest from Celtic unless we spend again it’s not even likely that we’ve spent anything at all!! Self sustaining? Arnies gone now (get over it) – he made his own call on his own future and you’ve a ready-made replacement (according to most on here) with cash in the bank – WHU now have all his baggage good and bad. What's there not to like? If Coutinho leaves Liverpool there’s every chance they’ll be in for Lanzini and there’ll be a similar debate for us about loyalty, integrity, making them what they are etc.. but he’ll be another that leaves us… whether it be for money or better things this window or in the future. It’ll be who we replace him with or promote (Quina) that matters. Last season there were 10 rather average teams that avoided relegation (a spread of 6 pts) and 3 slightly shitter ones that went down. This next season sees some ambitious additions (Newcastle etc..) and I get the feeling an even tougher league stay in. Although we've made some experienced first team signings, I'm under no illusion of the jump in quality needed to reach next level without supersized (big wages) player investment - something we appear to be trying to do albeit on the old ones that'll come or cheap. (relative) Looking in from the outside seeing the dead-wood you've shifted and wages free'd up surely Coates has got to get a few in soon and accept good players come and go, play for money and lots of it - it's a grubby, nasty business off the pitch and probably unique due to the money swilling around. He knows already getting Arnie quality will cost and more than probably he wants to spend - but maybe investing the £20m windfall rather than bleating foul and sounding a bit muggy in the media says more about him and business mindset than Arnie. Never asked you before, what happened to the money for the old ground ,was it ever disclosed if so how did you get and did it go back in the club or did the dildo twins pocket it.

Adrian Durham is a complete weapon but genius at what he does His job is to wind up the audience and make them tune in and ring up. I'm just surprised he's wasting his airtime on stoke. Must be a slow arsenal day I think last time Coates was on in the morning the club got a kicking on there at night. The problem with Talk Shite to Stoke is Bet 365 do not put any money in the station and a such have nothing to lose to slag us off.i think if we were putting lots of money there way. Though advertising you would not get all this shit.By the way I think it was that Matt Holand ripping us one last time.

The Turkish newspaper have reported that Galatasaray CEO Cenk Ergun was in England last night with Imbula’s representatives, and they’ve agreed on personal terms for the player.
Galatasaray are prepared to pay Imbula €1.6m per year and €5K for every point they pick up in the Turkish league and Europa League, according to Fanatik’s latest report. The Turkish giants are also ready to offer €1.8m to Stoke City for a one year loan fee.
Fanatik expects Stoke City will now allow Imbula to leave on loan, because the player isn’t receiving interest from other clubs willing to take him on permanent transfer.
sportwitness.co.uk/players-wife-key-stoke-city-transfer-deal-personal-terms-agreed/
What 'personal terms' could Galatasaray 'agree' on with the player? He's contracted to get £70,000-a-week from his parent club until 2021 regardless. Surely it's just what % they are willing to pay Stoke and what loan fee they'll pay to sweeten the deal? Beyond agreeing to go there, if he's on loan, what else is there financially to work out with Imbula? But if the offer to Stoke is less than £1.5m and significantly less than 50% of his wages, that sounds pretty crap Fanatik have claimed Galatasaray are in final discussions to sign Stoke City’s Giannelli Imbula, and the midfielder is keen on the move, after his wife lived in Istanbul for five years. The former Istanbul stay of Imbula’s wife is seen in Turkey as a big plus point on a transfer, as the Turkish media look for reasons to be optimistic.

Pay him £70k pw to sit at home/on the bench or try and recoup a bit from a loan fee but subsidise his wages massively. Ideally take the loss in one go on a very much reduced transfer but seems unlikely anyone is rushing in to buy him. Or hang on to him and hope the glimmer of hope shown in the preseason games is the start of a run of form. You can see why the transfer option even with a crap fee is what we're going for. Loans like this are death by a thousand cuts. Surpose it all depends on how much he has burned is bridges with Hughes and if he wants to get away from Stoke. As you have said that's the last place you would to go to..Did Hughes play him to put him in the shop window.or give him another chance. On that deal I would keep him here And hope he's learned to pass after he's beat his man,as in the preseason matches he did not look to bad.

I remember reading years ago that he was very close to Mark Hughes. Harrison coached Hughes when he first broke through at Old Trafford, then he worked as Hughes' assistant during his time as Wales manager. I'd imagine he might have also worked with Darren Fletcher at Old Trafford when he was a kid? Was on talk shite last week, his son had found the numbers of the class of 92 and gave them a text in hope one or two would come to see his dad as he was in a bad way .With in the week they had all been to see him.For once a good football story.
