We should have kept and played, Adam Davies Adam Davies has to be up there as one of the most overrated players ever to play for us. He was absolutely hopeless. Sheffield United have 2 keepers who couldn’t catch a cold and Davies still can’t get a game. Their fans describe him in terms of being the worst keeper they’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing play for them. That we signed him on the money we did was ridiculous and symptomatic of the absolute tool that Nathan jones was!

All good shouts Dave. Not sure I rate Iversen if I am honest, that said I wasn't convinced by Travers either. I wasn’t a fan of travers at all.

Would have thought Harry would be reluctant to come back, even on loan and I’d rather we looked for a permanent signing elsewhere. I'd prefer permanent too. But not sure why he'd be reluctant to come back. He needs to play football. I’ve no idea why and I could be miles off the mark, but I get the impression that Harry left under something of a cloud and doesn’t necessarily hold a great deal of affection for the club.

If we want an older, experienced player, I’d be looking in the direction of Danny Welbeck myself.
Johannson or Iverson in for keeper position Toffolo left back Tom Cairney for midfield Danny welbeck
Too ambitious?

He's decent. That said I must be in the minority that doesn't mind Iversen Iversen is a good keeper. If Johansson is an option for us I’d basically be looking to sign the cheapest of the two. I’ve wanted Iversen at Stoke for a while but have to admit to being disappointed by his early form. Post Cardiff, I’d have been tempted to put Bonham back in but for once, we got to the game early enough to watch the warm up (something we used to do regularly) and my faith was restored. He’s technically very good and has “good hands”. He’s the most impressive keeper we’ve had, from watching the warm ups, since Butland, and much better than Travers.

He’s the polar opposite to what you’ve described as a lad. He’s not in the least bit sulky or billy big bollocks. He’s a nice lad who goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and settled in the group. Precisely, all this 'sulky' stuff is a complete fabrication and really annoying. Today wasn't out of the ordinary for me, he's always fairly animated in any celebrations when we win, it's just that there hasn't been many wins to celebrate. He's obviously popular with other players and staff. I’ve often wondered if giving him the captains armband would bring something out of Tye that he doesn’t even know himself he has. I’ll be sad to see him leave but I’ve been a bit of a lone voice in any attempt to defend him from the flak he’s often received.

I think he's just a great character and massively popular in the dressing room. I'll be gutted if he leaves, personally. He just comes across as a sulky billy-big-bollocks type to me. It was great to see him so aggressive in his play and happy / celebratory after. If he could show that and connect with fans he’d be massively popular, but I think he’s burnt his bridges. The eternal nearly man for me. He’s the polar opposite to what you’ve described as a lad. He’s not in the least bit sulky or billy big bollocks. He’s a nice lad who goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and settled in the group.

Goal and an assist from Tezgel today.
That’s a few goal involvements for him now so hopefully he’s learning a lot and becoming a bit more physically robust

I’d offer him another year. He’s made an enormous difference since he’s come back in. I’d sign a starting left back too though. Our stats with him in the starting 11 are very strong this season seemingly.

Nobody has more goal contributions this season than our right back (4 goals and 3 assists). That's 8 goals for the club in just a season and a half, from full back. Has anybody scored more for us during that time? He needs to work on parts of his game, and at 22 he will surely only improve. How much do we think it'll take to make the move permanent? He’s on massive money and would likely cost a big fee. I’m pretty sure he’ll go on to be a very good player but I doubt that is going to be with us.

By his own admission, Cundle has had a difficult time at Stoke. Fingers crossed he can finish the season in some kind of style and actually help us get over the survival line.

Danny Wellbeck would be a similar option to Rodriguez.
I’d prefer him but subject to any injury concerns, Rodriguez is a very good player. He’s seemingly always on the bench at Burnley so he’s clearly consistently fit for selection

Looks like the u18s had Seb Jensen who is currently at Everton in goal today. Presume they’re releasing him. Actually saw him play this season on loan for Sandbach and was ok. Not the biggest though. Son of Brian of Burnley fame. Playing for Stoke? He was only away on tour with Everton a fortnight ago. He’s not particularly impressive from what I saw of him

He’s wank. No conversation to be had. Had he not scored, you wouldn’t have known he was playing But he did score. Doesn’t change anything. He’s still crap. Was nice to see some composure in front of goal though 👍

Laurent shouldn't play for stoke again, what does he even offer? At least Baker can take a free kick now and then. Sounds like he at least kept it 1 a piece with that goal line clearance. But yeah we need better... I don’t think Glen Whelan thinks too much of Laurent

He just had a bad game. It hasn't happened very often. Burger was rightfully moaning at the ref as well. We complain that our players don't care just accept injustices without a fuss and then one of them moans, he's criticised for doing just that. At the end of the day, we are such a poor team that the players can't win no matter what they do anymore in reality. We've all checked out from them and are counting the days until most of them disappear (Hopefully). It's a shame they are crap really because in the main, I get the impression that they are all good lads. They just aren't very good. We've got be the only club that signs 17 players and only 3 of them make us any better off, going have to sign another 15 this summer The daft thing is we probably don't need that many players. We need 2 or 3 real quality players, in key positions, that can elevate the rest of the team. Put a 17 year old Ryan Shawcross at the back, Rory Delap in midfield and Ricardo Fuller up front among this lot and we probably change from relegation contenders to promotion contenders almost immediately. Add in a Liam Lawrence (who can create from set pieces and score goals himself) and we probably win the league with those 4 + the rest of what we have.

anyone a bit concerned about Burger and Junho and their all of a sudden lack of form Felt like Burgers performance on Wednesday night was one of someone who was either sick of being surrounded with shite or one of a man who has checked out and will be asking to move in the summer He just had a bad game. How does it work? Do Swansea always allocate 400 tickets for away fans or was it just a case of there being no uptake due to it being midweek and on TV? 4000 on Saturday seems a big jump, though I know the stadiums bigger. With some huge games coming up can we issue next to no away tickets and make it a fortress. We need all the help we can get. But we can't play in front of a crowd because they are too critical of the little cherubs and puts too much pressure on them. We can't play in front of a few hundred away fans because there isn't enough of them. I'm not sure what the answer is but whatever it is, it doesn't involve the fans, be they home or away ones.

We just cant string any type of performance together let alone results.
Oh well. On to Saturday where I suspect we’ll revert to lumping it in the general direction of Leris.
We might as well not bother with a centre forward though. Just play without one

I've criticised Ennis. Others seem to be slating Laurent but where exactly is Junho? He's not in the game at all. Is he playing?
