Season 2022-23 -- 44 points relegation - 45 would have been enough to stay up - this year 50 may not be enough to stay up!

They should be resting key players for the playoffs in order to field their strongest team as they have very little chance of making top two. If Leeds win on Friday thats it - playoffs

He's a "home" player at best - not that quick -if you were at the Plymouth game you could not help notice he never got the better of their full back, except when he cut inside and scored. Too lightweight for the championship especially away from home. So he has his uses but limited. If he can go on the Arnold Schwarzenegger body building course over the close season he may improve getting knocked off the ball, but then a Usain Bolt course to get his speed up.

He’s been better than most. We never got the new manager bounce on any of our appointments - in fact there was a bounce with the appointment of Walter’s. There’s a good mix with JW & SS and judgement should be reserved until we see how the recruitment goes this summer and onwards - Rome wasn’t built in a day and let’s face it there’s a load of work to do when all the loans and contract expired players leave. He’s done a sound job with the tools he’s been given and let’s face it some of those players were right Tools! So well done so far and let’s see where we are in October

Up to half time the game was relatively even & Million was totally ineffective with the full back beating him for pace, million losing the ball every time it was played to him. Then out of th3 blue Hoever scores on 45 minutes - goals do change games, we were then all over them andMillion has a shot - only positive thing he did all half - and scores - good goal took goalie by surprise really.
Second half he was better bu5 still play broke down when it was played to him, because he is really too lightweight and gets knocked off the ball like a 15 year old novice. Needs to learn to protect the ball and drawing a foul when muscled out, which is how the clever slightly built good players manage the game.
Thompson, Cundle, Juno top players and defence looked solid, Laurent contributed well and of course Burger class when he came on. Well done Schumacher getting to know his best team and how to set up. Yes we’re safe now.

He did have a really bad cruciate injury - it was a risk but then look at that defender we didnt go for from Man Utsd and hes doing OK, so you never know. Pulis had a team full of "Battersea Dogs Home" players - so we should'nt be too hard on him or the signing itself. Just need to offload when we can if he's not going to improve

I still feel Iverson is not the one we need in goal - the number of times he should have (note: not should of) come out when the ball was floated in to our 6 yard area was criminal.
Even their (not There) goal could have been avoided if Iverson had been more assertive and got to the ball and just punched it away - then of course we had two defenders turning their backs on the SW player who scored with a cross shot. Definitely room for improvement and maybe we go for Travers because for me Iverson is no better than Bonham.
Sorry but the lack of English grammar on this forum is shocking.

I just wondered what happened to all those on the oatcake who wanted John Eustace - do they still feel we missed the boat appointing him - just look at Blackburn now! Just saying - be very careful what you wish for - as many said to John Coates when he wanted more attractive football than what TP was giving

It was a bad decision on two counts. The Law says if the keeper has it both hands & is challenged its a foul. Keeper had one hand on the ball as he was looking to wing it away (cant do that with two hands) second issue was he was not challenged he knocked the ball against Ennis. So a diabilical decision on those two counts and goal should have stood. Then there wsa the penalty which like the Phillips Gordon decision was incorrect - need I say more!

In away games on an unpleasant night weatherwise and the chances are most refs (especially south of Watford) hate stoke we cannot afford to play three lightweights like Vidigal, Manhoeff or even Juno - they just could not cope with the physicality without a strong ref protection and no VAR. As much as I think he's a bit of a donkey that game might have been better for Wesley to put himself about and take whatever flak was going up front. Same as the Huddersfield Game where Michael Helik who just dominated their box & ours when he went up for SEt Pieces.
So Thompson should have started with a more solid team - On the night Swansea wanted it more and we would have been fortunate to win even with those terrible ref decisions

Although thats the best I've seen Vidigal play since october time we seem to have a lot of small players which makes us particularly vulnerable on set pieces, corners etc. Even Mmaee is not that tall and like Vidigal has a tendency to embarrass himself diving when slightly touched

Agree with most comments, that we could have had 3 goals in firs5 20 minutes with better finishing and let’s face it their goalie made saves. I’m not sure about Iverson staying on his line too much on corners without taking initiative and punching clear. Their second goal was poor defending to allow the cross when we had a couple of opportunities to get rid and woeful goalkeeping to parry that straight to their player. Iverson parried it onto his foot and it rebounded into the net. It’s about time he started making good saves not just saves he should make like their goalie. He has no presence so opposite players feel they have a chance against them. He needs to build up a reputation and so I don’t think he’s one for the future.

His demeanour is the exact opposite of what we need. I would imagine if John Walters has any input he’ll be gone sooner rather than later. Cannot afford such players especially when we’ve only just got rid of “attitude Powell”

Can't win can he - or JC - So he should only be thinking Short Term should he? Well done him if he expresses an opinion based on Non Short Terms thinking - Thats where most unsuccessful businesses go wrong. You always need to have a long terms plan of 3/5/7 max years which gets updated all the time based on circumstances. E.G if we were relegated we would need a different plan to get back in the Championship. If in Championship we need a plan for that and possibly for the Premier league. Just shows how thick some of our supporters think. Well Done John Walters for doing the right thing and he has brought an energy to the club that was missing

Something has happened in a positive direction since Tricky Dicky left and the Stalwart no nonsense Mr Walter’s arrived. He has helped the fractious team members and supporters into a single objective - I have to say similar to the Pulis mentality of they shall not pass. He recognises we have a good manager and potentially a great manager & management team. So don’t let this slip away and get behind the team who are now stating to become a team instead of a load of individuals. Exciting times ahead and glad I’m in for the long haul with my season ticket
