Just got up to get ready to start the journey to London. Gonna be a mad day.... I expect a narrow defeat... I did last year also... It didn't happen last year... More of the same today I hope.

I will be arriving in Bradford around 5ish any pubs near the ground? I haven't been out drinking in Bradford for years, so I can't vouch for its accuracy, but I've lifted this from the Football Ground Guide: "Chris O'Sullivan a visiting Bury fan recommends the Bradford Arms on Manningham Lane; 'It is only about two minutes from the ground and was welcoming to away fans'. About a ten minute walk away from the stadium along Manningham Road (going away from the City Centre) is the Cartwright Hotel, which has a sizeable bar. Also about a ten minute walk away (this time towards the City Centre) is the 'Corn Dolly' on Bolton Road, which is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, as is the New Beehive on Westgate. The New Beehive is somewhat of a 'step back in time' still having gas lighting. Near to Bradford Forster Square Station on North Parade is another pub to feature in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the Sparrow Bier Bar. This bar offers up to four real ales, plus ciders and continental lagers. Neil Le Milliere a visiting Exeter City fan adds; 'The Sparrow was superb. Although on the small side (it is probably only good for 50 or so supporters), it is still an excellent place to visit with a superb choice of ales and special drinks. Plus the pork pies were to die for!' Alcohol is not available to away fans in the TL Dallas Stand. If there is a large following and the Club allocate a portion of the Midland Road Stand to visiting supporters, then beer is on sale in that stand." I'll hopefully be in Bradford from about 6-ish. Would be good if some of us could meet up for a drink beforehand. Will set the sat nav for Bradford arms and see if can park somewhere near there also

Me and the Mrs are going. Only up the road from Doncaster. And only £10 a ticket..... What pub are people meeting up at ?. Lets hope that the lads put on a decent display. Lower league teams will be out to prove a point and to tell the Premier League "big boys" that they are not welcome in this competition. I will be arriving in Bradford around 5ish any pubs near the ground?

I know Lee Personally and his Dad is a Platinum Plus card holder at Stoke and goes to almost every game, I have not heard praise and grumble but can only summise he is stating opinions to get the fans talking.... lets be fair we all have opinions.... and looking at this message board some more crazy (in my opinion!!) than others

I was there and there was nothing racist about the chants......they were just honest chants about how he turned his back on his country in a snide way and NOTHING to do about skin colour and the truth has hurt him. He thinks he is riding a white horse through the mist as the saviour of the kick it out campaign......well this time he is wrong and he should come out and say it has nothing to do with racism only truthful chants Werrington was it you stood next to me in Montenegro, lower tier, about 3 rows from the front??

I was at both games and can categorically say there were NO racist chants that I or anyone else i know heard at all. I heard, he was a c*nt, you know what you are and fuck off rio ferdinand thats it. If these journalists want to talk racism they should report on the behaviour of the fans in podgorica who found it necessary to hurl missiles and spit on englands players, black and white, all the way through the game, before throwing fireworks into the England end and attacking Englis folks with flares outside the ground on the basis of our nationality!! May i suggest these journos fuckin grow up and speak fact not fiction !!!

Dodging the flares bein thrown by the locals so all is good, dronks at least are dirt cheap, stoppin up as got a 6am flight.in morning for a 8 hour session in amstrdam before flying.home... It's looking a very bleak and hard run in if you ask me. I can't see us winning any of these games. We might pick up the odd point but I can't see any more than that. You see apart from the game against Liverpool on Boxing Day we have been piss poor all season. That's another bloody question why cant we play like we did against Liverpool more often? You didnt go to Chelsea then? You didnt think we did ok at Man Utd then?? Such a defeatist attitude. I agree its looking hard but the reality is we have only lost 2 league games at home all season.. and yes, some of the games (especially recent) have been poor but we are 11th in the premier in march. Tell me 7 years ago you wouldnt have taken that??

It was Uttox Town Reserves and they were robbed, very dodgy penno for the 2nd goal then the ball stopped dead in the mud for the third. Appalling pitch and floodlight failure as well. Credit to Dresden though, they looked a decent side. Would say robbed was a bit over the top mate, dresden were on top for the majority of the game, the floodlight was one corner of the pitch. I thought dresden would have been robbed if would have been 1 - 1 at full time, though I do agree the pitch was appalling 2nd half with the driving rain... And the state of the bogs was fuckin awful too... rust in the urinals. Plus side 2 quid a pint can and could have a fag whilst watchin the football !!

Apart from the game and the always enjoyable socialising with football folk, such trips are always an experience, but too often for count-your- blessings reasons. I wonder if such an impoverished country has improved any? When I went, in 1996 (young Beckham's first cap) there was only one female loo in the airport and that was a hole in the ground (I kid you not) and, when we asked for a toilet, when the coach stopped, the steward pointed to a field! All part of life's rich pattern ......... [/quote The country certainly has improved. The ground, however, not so. It is the first time i have ever seen only 1 entrance to the ground for both home and away fans. The crushing to get in was a little concerning. Also the police looked like they wanted england fans to kick off so they could get stuck in. 1500 officers on duty for a match at a ground of 10000 where the only visible signs of any trouble during the day was a drunken bristol rovers fan who decided to try and fight other england fans and throw chairs etc. And that was curbed within 2 minutes. Next to poland... now who knows what to expect there !!
