You have my sympathy, I used to commute from Blackpool to Tunbridge Wells for work every week - which was a good 330 miles on pretty much all the worse roads in the country to try and navigate through. If you live in Plumpton though - surely you can afford your own private plane to the game I hate the modern game and in particular, the rolling about on the floor like you have been shot in order to try and buy your opponent a yellow card, when I see it happen I am embarrassed for the player, no lad of mine would be allowed to do that and pleased we did not do that when we had numerous chances to do so - I blame the parents for the raising of an absolute nonce - the punishment for diving when you have hardly been touched should be a year ban and loaned out to a Rugby team. That said, I am not sure I would wish their fans a long journey home, they have been long-suffering, like us, never won a thing, like us, had plenty of heartbreak, like us, and have been a well ran club for a while now Mate, spent 36 yrs as a school teacher, but not a DT teacher, so no private plane. As for Brighton fans, they have been long suffering. According to their suffering, the away end at Hereford holds 20,000, the same 20,000 went to Gillingham regularly, all sat in the Open Golf stands at the Withdean and they were all at the Sex Pistols first gigπ. Premier League complacency is now kicking in for many, but if ever there is a stark contrast between a club well led and our own, it is Brighton. Re: Brighton fans, when I moved to Brighton in 2004 for Uni everyone, and I mean everyone! supported Arsenal down there. These new Brighton fans materialised when Prescott gave the AMEX the nod. You couldn't move on Saturdays for arsenal shirts. Think I went to the Withdean more than most of the new Brighton fans did to be fair!

Personally l thoroughly enjoyed my time in Valencia regardless of the side TP put out. A number of sides struggled in the Premier League as a result of also playing in the Europa League, not just us. Playing a number of fringe players in Valencia may just have helped keep us up. It was February. We had 30 points already. There was zero need to try and throw that game. If weβre saying that we couldnβt get 10 points from our last 12 games then that wouldβve been a pathetic effort whether we were in Europe or not. You get more money for finishing higher in the league though.

I've got it on. Have to say charlton look bloody awful, what the hell happened to them they used to be a decent side. Thay had a rather dull route 1 manager who kept them afloat for many years, sought more interesting football and brought in a succession of managers to bring exciting football. None of the pretty football managers worked out and they ended up losing the spine of the team that kept them ticking over. Ended up sliding down the leagues into obscurity. Dunno who that reminds me of.

Playing against a team with limited confidence and a fan base that is restless. Why are we not setting up to play a high press? 'Limited confidence and a fan base that is restless' is that us or the baggies? π

Ric's mate. The little winger. Well, Ric thought he was good anyway. Took everyone else x5 minutes to realise. Demar Phillips? Weird signing that was.

Pericard (He played for Juve you know), Palacious, John Carew, Wilfred Bony. Players I thought would really make a big difference. What was weird is that when his great hour of triumph arrived and we got promoted and all his support for Pulis had been vindicated, he was nowhere to be seen. No celebrations, no smugness, no basking in the glory of being right. He wasn't around for most of that promotion season to be honest. Maybe he'd just moved on and found something better to do, safe in the knowledge that Pulis' team was doing his talking for him on the pitch? Or maybe, in my opinion more likely, he was simply a wind up merchant getting kicks from blindly defending Pulis during the binary season and calling for his return during the Boskamp season etc and enjoying the responses and the anger he induced in people like Hudsongod. But when Pulis returned and began to be more successful, it stopped being so fun for him with his opinions now more in line with the common consensus and not being seen as outlandish any more. So he just got bored and his posts tailed off. If you look at his last posts on here (from 2013) they're all about how the pressure is mounting on Hughes and he's taking us down - six months after he was appointed Quite a track record for being right then!

Biggest change there used to be regular 'bants' with fans of other clubs. There were direct links on the home page of the old board to the boards of all the other clubs in our division and no registration process. So for example ahead of the Preston match last weekend there would have been a message on here something like this... Subject: Your visit to Deepdale From: PNE DaveTell your lot to have a double dose of their medication before they turn up at our place on Saturday. I remember reading an excellent piece on the Grimsby forum by a poster called GrimRob when they got relegated. It was brilliant writing, just oozing sarcasm. For all its faults, I do miss that aspect of the old board. I would sometimes go on to random forums and post graphi descriptions of sex acts for a laugh. Good times!

Not a player and not disappointed as such, as I don't think he'd have done any good but the Burley empty chair conference was a real low. The snubbing aficionados snub that was. Who was that shithouse who snubbed us and chose Bristol City before Megson was appointed? Cole Skuse?
