Welcome Barry. I think we are quite lucky with the pods we have, all offer something a little different so what one person doesn't like someone else loves and have an alternative to go too etc.

Really good hours podcast that and shows just how close it's going to be. The story about paying a players mum 700k to get around it shows how flawed the system is!!

The match day security was a big issue in my opinion. The searching of people to protect is 100% justified but if this is the case the ground needs to be opened earlier or have more than 1 person managing two lines. There were thousands outside the ground post kick-off and no doubt a huge amount missed the first goal, i luckily got in 2/3 minutes before the goal.

Hi Ange/Russ,
Well what a great time to be a stokie at the minute....
Firstly Sheffield Wednesday, never seen a more one sided fixture, never seen an opposition who made absolutely no attempt to close down our defence, never looked like they wanted to score or get anything out of it. The team put in a very proffesional performance to win and ensured they didn't get injured by not going gungho without reason hence the quite modest scoreline.
The cup draw for me was a bit of a downer as i really think had we drawn man city we would be going to Wembley (this was pre this weekends result). Liverpool are in a time of recovery so not the ideal team to play but if we do beat them over two legs we really deserve to then go on to win it.
Finally yesterdays game.... Quite honestly the best ever performance i have seen from stoke considering the strength of the opposition. I pointed out at the match to those around me of how man city remind me of the old real madrid, a squad full of individuals but not a united team, a prime example of no matter how much miney you throw, if the DNA isn't right and they dont fight for eachother it makes no difference. This is where we really shine, everyone fighting for the cause and this boads well for 2016 for what could the best ever season.
Im sure we will speak beforehand but i wish you both a great christmas and also my condolences to Russ on the passing of a loved one.
Regards Michael Stockley

Hi Ange/Team.
It would be great to discuss the health and safety issue that seems to go wither ignored or not inforced. There is a thread relating to exiting the ground where people get up and wait in the aisle for 10 minutes at the end instead of leaving or moving into the concourse. Its asking for someone to fall, a steward to get into a fight with a drunk fan when asked to move or even disabled fans not being able to see. I wont ellaborate anymore thiugh as you can read the thread but you will see its echoed by many and no doubt countless more who don't read this forum.
Thanks!

The only thing i had issue with was the bunch of idiots constantly looking for a fight. Not saying there wasn't any spurs fans stirring but they really are shameful (gladly only around 20 involved). I was right next to them and a lad whose first game it was and no older than 7 was very scared. I can see why some grounds don't sell beer based on that. Apart from that the other 1780 fans were brilliant.....now i need to get the muni song out my head, the mrs aint a fan....

Hi Team. I would be really keen to get everyones thoughts on the 1 minute applauses. I hear many in the stands groaning now about these and comments of 'one a game is cheapening the occasion'. This is also reflected in a thread on the oatcake. While tragic reasons ate why these are occuring does everyone think it would it be better to wait until the end of year tributes or do the applauses?
I don't personally side either way, just keen to get peoples thoughts?

Horrible to hear and brought a tear to my eye. I find Twitter to be very quick in spreading the word for applauding so would encourage you all to keep posting and sharing if you get a moment.

Plz bin this crap ! Anyone's who's a fan will be at the ground , plenty of spare tickets available ! Please don't persuade to fans to drink away their money , when they can support their team ! Poor show How about the fact that tickets can not be brought on scfc direct any longer. I am assuming that means a sell out for stoke. Keep it up Greenhoffs!

Russ is me Johnsmithsupper Angela is ange1 or something like that Gareth and i might be wrong about this possibly boothenendergaz but ive never asked him I will on sunday now! Ange and gareth sometimes post under the Knotfm handle. Apart from that i dont know what more i can add but keep enjoying the show its getting bigger audiences week on week and i certainly love being a part of it. Hi Russ, I would echo the compliments above, I've been a listener from the start, and I've got to say there's an improvement having your positive input to Gareth's negativity a lot of the time, with Ange sitting on the fence What happened to Michael, did he finally grow weary of being teased for his youth and 'armchair' fan status ?? Hi mate, this is Michael. The armchair banter is something that on air can sound like abuse but it is as I am sure you can tell just a laugh and same goes for a lot of the 'banter' , I have been a stokie for 25 years. In terms of where I have been I think we are waiting until some doom and gloom to happen and I will be back to put a positive spin on things when Gareth is feeling a bit negative or when Ange wants to discuss getting TP back . I await the invite...

Went down to buy my ticket also and were 15 tickets in the Q Railing upper in blocks 4/5 & 8 and about double in the lower half. Overall its more one or two here and there than being able to get lots together. Hope this helps.

I think we will be backed in Jan. We won't be given the money TP was afforded of course but if we get rid of the deadwood in the team then it should also open up some more funds. Can see Diouf being the number 1 target in Jan though!

Sorry if already posted but amazing to see £20 BILLION in bets in 12 months to 365 and also £180m in profit before taking into account £30m spent on SCFC (mostly on debts i think). Still got plenty of monies left over for Jan, the point remains, will PC or 'The Family' spend some it? t.co/dbJGzdfcPl

I still think JP would be a decent back up option but clearly something going wrong there imo.

I think that the club were expecting Begovic to depart (so glad he is still here and hopefully will be until at least the end of the season) thus making more funds available to spend. I would think that Coates priority would be to retain Premiership status - makes financial sense for him and the club. It is going to mean releasing more funds than anticipated, it needs to be done imo. As well as being a shrewd businessman. PC is a Stoke fan and I am confident that he will support Hughes come January. We all need to support the club right now I don't think PC calls the shots anymore Mark i think its a case of it being more than just PC stepping aside. It is more the point of them all having to consult each other on funds now before releasing ££. Trust me Denise has no interest in the club side. She is far too involved in running B365 to care about that side.
