Cant see what hes got to lose by going 4-2-3-1, like everyone else knows is best. Dropping his utterly useless mate daniel johnson and putting bae behind the striker. Dropping laurent and having pearson and burger as your '2' and fingers crossed mmaae is back come the Sunderland game This.

Please stop using the phrase ‘’prem team’ it’s AFC Bournemouths 2nd team, whilst our team is relatively strong.
When loosing in a knockout game we should be having a shot on goal.

10th would be progress though, from 15th, 17th whatever position we've finished in these past few years. I think what creates the 'playoffs or bust' mentality is watching bog-average, no-mark teams, scratching in or around the playoffs, it's happening almost every season. And it makes you think 'why not us?'. Which I fully get. Whilst 10th isn't a particularly exciting or ambitious aim, I think that voming at it yhe other way, it's the bare minimum position that the manager should get judged by. there’s a difference between progress and what you want to be achieving, and a promotion push is what is expected by the board and manager , Neil said himself he was brought here to get promotion 100%, fans in the pub before the game on Wednesday saying to me, 'I'd take a top half finish'... bloody ell, that's a terrible defeatist mentality...look at what Ipswich are doing having just come up! Win today and be 3 points off the playoffs after a remarkably average start and a lot of players still needing to gel

Campbell can't start the next game. Should have scored at least 2 today, and that one just before HT changes everything. Joke.

Not showing any leadership traits, almost emotionless at times.
Burger, Wilmot, Pearson all a lot more vocal.

I would say not for me but in Neil we trust. Just don't think his record goal scoring and injury justify the risk but not my money Injury record fair enough....goal scoring record...ehh? Been at Sunderland for 3 seasons scored 40 in 81...he's a 1 in 2 man...not many about.

Might be reading in to it too much but did anyone else think his body language was worrying? Didn't celebrate either goal and then went pretty mich straight down the tunnel at full time. After all the criticism he’s got maybe he just opted for a subdued celebration rather than an ill advised shush gesture. Hard to blame him for being subdued when you see some of the post match comments here despite two excellent goals and an assist. Sadly for Josh he’s Stoke Scapegoat Number 1 and the critics need their pound of flesh. First and foremost, 'all the criticism he's getting on here' I would hope a professional footballer wouldn't venture onto messageboards to see what a very small, overly opinionated section of fans think of him...and if he did, I would hope he would ignore them and acknowledge fans are, at times, overly critical and emotional. Secondly, last night he put on a great performance (MOTM IMO)… all you have to do now is celebrate the goals with your supporters and opinions change very quickly. Not saying jump into the crowd and go crazy, but a fist pump to the Boothen would be nice. Not (goal one) fingers in the ears celebration with Tyrese, (goal two) turns back immediately on the crowd and celebrate to a friend or family member in the upper tier. And before anyone says, he can celebrate how he wants, why do you care....of course he can but it won't help anything - he controls the narrative. Get involved with the fans, show some passion, get the fans chanting your name...or don't, and be regarded as the new Clucas.

Most players need time to bed in...get used to the other players around them, team tactics etc.
Some players are just fuckin brilliant from the get go...

Don't think we need him. The only position I think we really could do with solidifying now is the RB position. So a Hoever backup. Have we not got that now in Léris? He literally plays RWB for Algeria.

The mooted 1m+ fee for a loan is nonsense in itself. Pretty sure we paid something along those lines for Zouma on loan back in the day, it was ludicrous then it's batshit insane now. The loan fee for Zouma was £7,000,000 not £1,000,000

If we challenge for promotion he should be in line for manager of the decade let alone season. Why? He's got in the players he wants, surely he has an idea on how they are going to play and the system? Sorry, there are no excuses. Agreed. Not sure where this, 'i'd just be happy with a top half finish' nonsense...even the players we've signed have stated in their interviews promotion is the aim. I'm sure the Coates family feel the same way...we should be aiming for a top 6 position going into January so we can make further improvements and ensure we finish strong. Lot of glass half empties about..

I agree that as things stand, Josh is found wanting defensively. But he gets the ball forward well and whips in crosses, two skills that Hoever doesn't do as well as Josh. That can be used to our advantage if Tymon's shortcomings in defence could be covered off by Pearson and Rose/(Bayram?) whenever he gets forward. You then have two different dimensions from the fullbacks - Hoever's defensive nous and physical presence further up the field, and Tymon's ability to get the ball into attacking areas. Any fullback that plays the way Hoever and Tymon play is going to be defensively suspect - if a fullback gets that far forward they leave gaps at the back, you can't have one without the other. Playing the likes of Tymon and However will cost us goals but if they score and create more than they concede it doesn't matter. It's a risk/reward thing and to come off the DM and CBs have to work hard to cover the defensive frailties of the fullbacks. In some games it will also mean withdrawing them and playing more orthodox fullbacks in order to protect a lead when it's tight. Exactly right! Don’t people want us to play attacking football? If he was as good defensively as he was going forward he’d be at a top prem club. Look at Trent, WORD CLASS going forward, bang average at defending, in fact I’d say very poor.

What about Ben Brereton from Blackburn. He is out of contract this summer and has said he would prefer to sign for Stoke, his home club. Absolute no brainer, hope he’s first one in this summer !

Personal favourites include Will Smallpeice and Jason Brown.

Let’s face it. Neil was brought in having been told he would have carte blanche in the summer on the signings front.
Problem is, he or anyone never actually believed we’d be in League 1.

Yes, we are bad Yes, it is incredibly frustrating to support us But come on, if you have supported Stoke longer than the Premier League years, to say this team is the worst we have had is beyond laughable! If you don't know the names, Kofi, Martin or Clayton then you really have no idea as to how bad we have been Never did we have the resources we had now, back then. We were always fighting to become something, wage budget was low, Stoke was never an attractive proposition.

No not re the lack of quality in the final third, I'm ashamed and angry at a sizeable section of our fans who found it acceptable to scream abuse at the players at the end No problem with having an opinion re players not playing well or whatever or even booing (didn't think that was warranted mind) but to dish out the full on abuse to a side that has dominated and worked their socks off was disgusting. Josh Laurent in particular was getting both barrels which was ludicrous If I was a player I'd want to leave Grow up, players deserve a hammering. This isn’t a one off result, we haven’t had much to cheer about for 7/8 years now. It should be water off millionaire ducks backs.

What a mess this squad is. The last 3 managers have absolutely shafted us. Think I’d keep Tymon, Laurent and Campbell at a push...wouldn’t bat an eyelid if everyone else left.
Thank fuck we have a fair few out of contract in the summer.

‘Whipping boy’ is a strange term, every team has poor/out of form players…are we not allowed to comment ?
Wilmot has, objectively, been poor this season and made many mistakes that have contributed to goals…

No good reason to do it. As previously mentioned they’re paid a shit ton of money, taking abit of stick off of the minority is part of the gig..I’d eat shit for 10k a week.
And no, supporters shouldn’t be expected to ‘take it back’ if they dish it out, we support Stoke long after these players leave, we’re literally the only people that should be able to ‘praise and grumble’.
This shit doesn’t wind me up, it just makes me more disinterested in the team and puts me off going to the arse end of nowhere on aways day at a huge expense. Literally nobody wins.

Never change a winning team > four changes?!?
Players didn’t look up for it at all today, Powell called it a day after a minor knock as per. Wish I could fuck a dozen of them off!

10 seems mental... A very generous 6 from me despite the 3 - 0, lets make no bones about it they were absolute dogshit and even an average team would've picked us apart. - Brown fullback - stop it, they targeted us down that flank the entire first half. - We were pegged back for a lot of that game and had everyone behind the ball frequently in the first half. - Second half was better after we rode out that initial pressure - extra points for the handling of set pieces at both ends. Incredible assessment. 10/10 for me.
