Says a lot when we think such a limited player would be our rescue! We really must have spent our money unwise if this is the case! I was happy to see him go by the way!

I agree to that, but I get the impression that SS rates Thompson, I don't. TBF most fans on here thought Thompson is just as good as Pearson before the game. He clearly isn't even close. I was never one of them!

SS seems to think 5 at the back makes us more solid, but in fact it's quite the opposite. We need to play 4 at the back and should do that the whole season. We also need to make sure we sign players able to fill in at this system. If we stay up I really hope we can bring in two left backs, two central defenders if not the promising young one out on loan can make a claim for one spot, another winger with pace and a striker able to get into double figures and of course a goalkeeper. Wesley, Campbell, Haksa, Cundle, Hoever, Stevens, Clarke and McNally will be finished here because the loans or contracts are up. I would also offload Johnson and consider offloading Wilmot and Thompson. Another summer with lots of outs and ins I guess! Goalkeepers: Iversen/Travers, Bonham + a youngster. Left backs: 2 new needed. Right backs: Junior and Gooch. Central defenders: Rose, the youngster out on loan, Wilmot?, a new one or two. Midfield: Burger, Pearson, Laurent, Baker, Junho, Sidibe, Thompson?. Wingers: Manhoef, Vidigal, Junho, + one or two new faces. Strikers: Mmaee, Ennis, + one at least. I’d have Wilmot nowhere near this team. He’s been here nearly 3 years and he’s no better now than when we signed him. He’s a centre half in right backs body. Better!? I think he has gone the other way to be honest! Seems to have lost his pace as well which was his biggest asset.

Miles better than Wilmot and Rose! He can even defend! And was on more money than both combined That was probably the big problem!

If it wasn't for FFP he'd probably be still here and absolutely better than anything we've got. Miles better than Wilmot and Rose! He can even defend!

I know we had to because of the circumstances, but Thompson is such a downgrade to Burger and Pearson that we can't expect to be at the same level. Thompson is a league one player and that's it. No we didn't. We had the chance to move Laurent back there and bring Manhoeff or Mmaee on. Better still we should have gone to a back four with Wilmot going off as we had already seen Norwich exploiting the space between the centre halves and wing backs. To me Schumacher just panicked and brought on Thompson as a like for like rather than thinking more laterally and using the opportunity to change the system. I agree to that, but I get the impression that SS rates Thompson, I don't.

Thought we really folded when Pearson had to leave the pitch. We went from Burger to Pearson, to Thompson in a matter of 25 mins. Awful downgrade. There’s no doubt he got it massively wrong today with the way we set up but he wasn’t helped at all by the spineless bastards on the pitch either😡 Thought we really folded when Pearson had to leave the pitch.

If he thinks we can keep playing with that high line with no pressure on the ball he doesn't deserve to be here next season! That was so naive that I'm really baffeled! Couldn't he see from the opening minutes that this was madness!? Every f...... ball into the space behind our defence created havoc, but still he didn't do anything about it before the break! That's what I call bad management!!!

I thought Thompson was the only player who plays as though it really hurts to be losing and letting the fans down He is so limited that I want to scream!!!

One of the worst performances of the season after I’d thought we might be in with a shout
Iversen 7 - only player to come out of this with some hounour! MOM Hoever 5 - Our best defender today! Says a lot about the rest! Rose 3 - really poor! Mcnally 4 - poor! Wilmot 3 - really poor! Gooch 3 - really poor! Laurent 4 - poor! Baker 3 - Poor! Pearson 7 - Anybody claiming Thompson is better needs to see a shrink! Bae 3 - really poor! Campbell 4 - poor!
Subs Thompson 3 - Mr. Limited! Million 4 - not enough impact! Mmaee 5 - OK Ennis 3 - if he was able to control the ball he could have scored 2! Cundle - not on long enough

I liked him, and I'm not sure Haksa, Vidigal or Leris are any better as wingers in a 4 3 3 system.

I really think this season's home kit is really good apart from the white panel at the back. The white panel is the reason why I haven't bought it to be honest.

Gayle is 34 and had a long career. He has only been a "prolific" scorer 3 seasons in that time and never in the Premier League. His last prolific season was 2018-19 on loan at WBA. There, he was used in a striker partnership with Jay Rodriguez who scored almost as many. Gayle was only ever used as a loan striker at Stoke. He has dropped down a level and playing against a lower standard of defenders. Good luck to him. If he had hit the ground running a Stoke with goals early in his tenure, who knows what would have happened? Stikers feed on confidence. He would still have been awfully slow though!

I think at least one of their playacting attempts to get a penalty deserved a yellow, but it wasn't given in any of the cases.

I struggle to see bigger clubs than Stoke being interested in Campbell, but he thinks different I believe.

Could Sidibi do a job there? He played really well when getting picked earlier in the season. Another reason why we never should have brought Cundle in! We should rather have given Sidibe more playing time.

Play Thompson against Norwich. He’s near and tidy and can put his foot in. I never want to see Pearson in a Stoke shirt again. Complete liability. Pearson is a much better player than Thompson in my opinion. Apart from being sent off Pearson had a good game against Leeds.

Really nice to see the lad bouncing back so strongly from his mistake v Coventry. I felt sorry for him when he was jeered off as he was clearly gutted with his error but he’s shown great character to bounce back these last 3 games. I thought he was strong contender for MOM v boro and Leeds and he was really solid again today. Well done lad. It’s always nice to see someone bounce back from criticism. Shows good character. Still I hope he isn't here next season!

Iversen 7, not much to do, but a vital save anyhow! Hoever 6, good game! Rose 6, good game, but he and McNally must share the blame for the equalizer. McNally 7, better than Rose and Wilmot. Wilmot, not bad, but has lost his pace. Gooch 8, MOM! Burger 7, but needless card again! Laurent 7, good game. Baker 7, good game. Junho 6, an outlet, but too little attacking impact this afternoon. Campbell 6, I expect more from him. Manhoef 6 Leris 6 Ennis 6, works his socks off, but should have scored! Campbell did well on his own up frío t. Laurent was poor, 3 times he has an opportunity to play a key pass and he mishit them all, he is so slow of thought. McNally gave away possession time after time and was at fault for the goal, impossible he could be rated higher than Wilmott. Opinions!

I really like him because he works ever so hard, but still I miss more end product from him. That's why I only gave him a 6 as rating, but I actually think he is our best option up front from what we have to choose from.
