Anyone on here take part in the Stafford Half yesterday? I saw plenty of Stoke tops in the crowd when I took part for the first time. But full credit to the team who were running for Lucas Williams (Team Lucas) it certainly gave me the motivation to keep going. If anyone has a link to a sponsor page pls post it on here. The event itself was a good day especially as I'm a Stafford lad. I hear it's no where near as hard as the Potters Half? Thanks for the comment about the Stafford Half Marathon yesterday. There were 40 of us running in 'Team Lucas' in memory of my son Lucas who died last year after a short illness, age 6. Lucas was a massive Stoke fan, keen footballer and member of City 7s. Our fundraising page is crowdfunding.justgiving.com/Lucas-Williams6-StaffordHalfMarathon2016 Would be grateful if anyone wants to support us. Stoke fans have been amazing in their support - Lucas's Dad Attachment Deleted

Thanks. Amazing support from our fans raising £10,956 in just over 2 hours. Many of the collectors had not been to a football match before and were humbled by the experience. Loads of stories of Stokies giving so generously and looking out for us to donate to help raise funding in memory of Lucas and for our cause to help find treatments for other children. Everton fans coming off the coaches donated £976.44 and donated at other places around the ground so raised over £1,000 of our total. They have also continued to donate today on our just giving page crowdfunding.justgiving.com/Lucas-Williams6-LittleStokieWe have asked the Club and Sentinel to update Stoke fans on what they achieved for Lucas' Legacy. Thanks again - Lucas's Dad www.facebook.com/LucasLegacy6/

Despite the weather, despite the performance, despite the result, never been prouder to be a Stoke fan.
A massive thanks to all those who gave so generously on Saturday. We raised a few quid short of a staggering £11,000 in memory of Lucas and it was a truly humbling to experience the kindness and support from so many.
You did our our boy proud
Thank You
Lucas' Mum and dad

You may remember the tribute to 6-year old Lucas Williams on Stoke Loud and Proud on 8th August by his proud dad. Lucas tragically died on 7th August 2015, 11 weeks and one day after first becoming ill. We are now trying raise funding for research into 'Childhood Brain Tumours' in Lucas's memory, working with Alder Hey Children's Hospital, based in Liverpool. Please support and share this as widely as you can to help us to fund much needed research into this cruel and devastating illness, which Lucas faced with immense bravery. Brain tumours are responsible for more cancer deaths in children than any other tumour type yet they receive less than 1% of all cancer research funding. We hope to find treatments that will enable more children to survive. crowdfunding.justgiving.com/Lucas-Williamswww.facebook.com/LucasLegacy6/?fref=tsAttachment Deleted
