McCarron not on the bench again. What are your thoughts on this? Is he finding it difficult to adjust like Tymon did to start with, or is he just not good enough.

Bursik MoM for second game running. England’s future keeper starting to show his ability after a few dodgy performances. Did he have a save to make that wasn't got straight at him? He didn't do his customary calamity moment for the second game in a running so that is a big positive.

He’s played there plenty. With Barnsley and us. To suggest Delap could be a better option there is absolute insanity. He has and he can’t do it. Why is it? Brown runs a lot and that’s all he does. Delap can do that. Add his strength and power to it which Brown doesn’t have and should be better at it. Gayle would be as bad as Brown at it but would get up and down which is what Brown does. To be fair, having Brown back up top wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Reading are second in the league. We've outplayed them marginally at their place, but our concentration is an abomination.
If we can sort that out we could have a good season, if we dont its going to be a painful one.

He doesn't look the type to go and create something for himself, which at the moment is the type we need.
He looks very physical for a young target man, much stronger than i expected, but we've yet to see any of his striking talent, which is what has taken him to playing in man city's academy.
We should see him improve lots during his time with us.

Poor Neil has been left with some very unfit players. This is MONs mess due to his appaling training + pre season. Negligent. It’ll take weeks to get them fit for games. Neil has already said he will play the style of football that suits the players. But he hasn't so far, that's on him, not the previous management. Lapses of concentration is still the thing that destroys us the most.

Flint caused that with his tortoise pace He's slow, but that goal isn't on him. You could blame a right wing back first.

Need to perform surgery on that defence. And the defence, and the keeper. And we don't exactly score lots of goals either. Its a lot harder to score when we keep going behind so early. Reading arent trying to play football now, just stop us from scoring and look to pick us off when we over do it.

We are definitely moving the ball a lot faster in the backline which is a good sign for the future.

Just admit he’s better than Bursik. He is, easily right now. But is that the barometer of success?

We need to make several changes or else this half, like the first one will be gone far too quickly.
Delap, Clucas, and Taylor off would be a good start

Surprised the players were booed, they need our support!

Probably the best game I've seen Joe Allen play at the bet365.

probably the strongest second division in the world. It's a tough division, as we've shown it to be for the majority of the time we've been in it.

I personally view Bursik as the most overrated, super hyped up GK in decades here. Honestly, how he is on 2 mil quid is ludicrous and more indicative of stupid money being punted on unproven and full of it players. England under 21, Ha. He's quite honestly the worst GK "prospect" I've seen at stoke in quite a while. How half this bloody board has portrayed him as the second coming of Banks is fucking hilarious. You know who you lot are. Bonham has done more of an average job just doing the basics and keeping simple clean sheets. I don't give a shit if his distribution is worse, having Bursik mis easy straight shots at himself each week is far worse. We really need better overall and its sad for the young lad but it is the truth, Bonham is better. There is no way he’s on £2m a year. £1m MAYBE. £500k a year apparently, over three times Bonham, who is on 150k a year. Yet Bonham is probably three times the keeper right now.

7 Decent starting 11 but his subs were odd. I can't see a single reason why Kilkenney didn't replace Clucas in the second half. And I thought Clive Clarke made a decent point that they were having so much success down our right side in the second half that we needed to replace one of our forward players with a right footed defender to double up on their left footed attack. Still, we won and I thought Taylor, Fox and Flint all had great games. Not sure what happened to Wilmot who looked shaky at right back. Blackburns style of play is to overload their left side, it's the reason BB-D cuts in from the left all the time. Our centre backs were effectively free men and didn't have to mark a striker, only handle late runners into the box.

10 for the result 3 for the performance
Not controlled, on an average day we lose that, but fortunately Blackburn missed a lot of easy chances.
As good as Bakers shot was, their keeper had a Bursik moment.
No individual mistakes for the first time in ages shows the players minds are more focused now which shows a bit of lethargy had probably entered the camp.
Fox had a solid game, scary thought.

I feel the same as everyone else I think. Clucas is an absolutely mystifying choice here. Kilkenny looked tidy in possession and moves around more. Could try him as the forward of the three in CM Think hes liked because he is pretty fast for a centre mid and can cross in a decent ball. Unfortunately unless he's playing a former employer, those things are negated by the fact he's league 1 at best.

Wilder feels the best fit, but unless we offer big money for him, why does he come here?
The rest of the options don't really leap out. Who is out there who can manage the crowds expectations to allow a young team to develop? Rooney?

He's been an amazing manager for us, largely in an off the pitch way, but also on the pitch by keeping us up and progressing the kids.
We'd have stayed up with him, results improving when the key players are back. So now, the next appointment is so important, could really see us relegated if we get it wrong. Not having someone in already is very concerning.

Anybody who can replace Wilmott. One simple ball in behind and he is running in quick sand. Happened for the goal and a few times earlier in the half Was his positioning that bad? Jagielka should have had it, the midfield should before it and Bursik only seems to connect his hands with balls out the back of the net.
