I listened to the interview with an open mind & I have to say that I can't take exception to anything that Tony Scholes said.
He provided direct answers to the questions posed, and removed a lot of the Oatcake speculation / ambiguity.
Perhaps the club should offer themselves up for this type of interview more often.

Not to mention a goalkeeper who will be leaving next summer. No clue on formations. I'll be ready for the midweek night game at Brentford. See you there then. Until then goodbye.

Man the fuck up and get behind your team. The club are severely lacking ambition. Lost our best player Penny pinching Level with Burnley. We are down this season. No we aren't level with Burnley,..... they are above us at the moment because the Premier League table is stacked in alphabetical order. The season hasn't started, nobody has kicked a ball yet.

"at least one more" F*****g hell. I should think so. I actually prefer that stance. Like Lou Macari who under promised & then over- delivered. Compare with Alan Ball who promised everything & delivered nowt.

Bruno will sign,it will happen when Porto do the paperwork,Stoke can't make it happen any faster Are they not doing the paperwork as some kind of bitter mark of defiance? A good question to ask Tony Scholes on the Radio Stoke interview tonight.

Campo di Marte or Normacot? Centro Storico or Shelton? Via Tornabuoni or Hanley? It's an easy decision Stoke The heat, pollution and standstill traffic of the Via Nationalze, the junkies and thieves around Santa Maria Novella station, the overwhelming numbers of tourists...everywhere, the right wing Ultra fans of Fiorentina like the Ultras Viola who aren't always known for their warm, embracing welcome of black players... Yup, Florence it is Florence is close to Normacot

I know that when Fuller was seeking a contract extension at the same rate of £40k per week (subsequently refused), both Huth & Shawcross were on £28k at that time & they were trying to persuade Ricardo to accept a reduce amount extension. I realise that it was a long time ago, but if Shawcross subsequently secured a contract linked to being the highest paid player, then this could well be the current stumbling block. If the club are acknowledging the need to pay more to attract new (better) players, then there may be a reluctance to automatically jack up the pay packets of existing players. This last bit is pure speculation on my part. 1) Ricardo Fuller never once asked for 40k per week 2) if Ryan is demanding something similar to his existing contract from stoke then Burnley can't afford him regardless of whether they make an offer that is deemed acceptable to the club. If he does go to Burnley it will make a mockery of our contract negotiations in this instance. Hi Dave, regarding point 1, I was informed by what I consider to be a reliable source that Ricardo was seeking an extension based upon previous terms (albeit he was in the latter stages of his career). The persons who told me were witness to the Huth / Shawcross/ Fuller discussion. The rest of your post I agree with entirely.

I actually know someone who knows Jon so I should be able to find out eventually if he took a pay cut or not. I'll not bother him now because I'm worried about his health. Only seen him once this year and he looked awful. It just doesn't strike me as something he would do. I'll save you the trouble. Walters didn't leave for less money but Walters wasn't our highest paid player and his wage with us fell within their structure. Port Vale, Brazil, Amiens, LA Galaxy, Stoke City, Aberdeen, Mk Dons.. could be one of those. I think that there might be a bit of a clue in your answer,........ and I hope that you are right.

Does anybody know how much the new corner stand costs? Is it in the region of 20 million quid??? Only from the outside, it looks like the club are happy to build the corner stand and then sell arnie to pay for it The timescales of these two separate events doesn't match your presumptions.

What a load of old bollocks. Should have fucked him off. I hope for your sake that your employers don't adopt the same approach towards yourself in the event of you sustaining an injury at work. ( assuming of course that you have a job, ....... the tone and attitude of your post above suggests that you might in fact be unemployable).

Only 7 million for BMI, against 20 million for Arni, a potential 12 million for Joselu, a potential 13.5 million (min) for Imbula, 5 million for Walters, Bardsley and Whelan. That's potentially a negative net spend of more than 40 million. Follow the money, follow the money. Where's Joselu off to ?

Do you always have to have the last say? Try re-reading some of your own posts. No you clearly can't read. I said Nzonzi was the best Stoke I've ever seen play. You said that was bollocks and named players you think are. Players I said I've never seen play. You have then said that I said that I'd never heard of them which is made up horseshit. You made a mistake, it happens, just admit it. There's no mistaking the fact that you criticise everything the club ever do or attempt to do. Somewhat surprising for someone who hasn't been watching football for very long. Still, I bet your keyboard gets some hammering.

So you've very limited experience of watching football then, and yet you seem to criticise everyone & everything connected with the club. What the fuck are you going on about? Do you always have to have the last say? Try re-reading some of your own posts.

Yes, like I said, a measure of your lack of footballing knowledge. Just no. I've never seen any of the players you named play. It's a sign of my age. Fucking hell fire. So you've very limited experience of watching football then, and yet you seem to criticise everyone & everything connected with the club.

Oh dear. On 31st July '17 on this very website, you were spouting that N'Zonzi was the best player ever to play for Stoke City. When I suggested that the likes of Stein, Hudson, Smith , Matthews & others were better, you said that you'd never even seen / heard of them. How can anyone take anything that you say seriously? Depth of footballing knowledge isn't about how many messages you have posted on The Oatcake. Christ you can't read either. I said that I had watched and he is. Yes, like I said, a measure of your lack of footballing knowledge.

?????? Delphi has played in the Premier League, the other bloke hasn't So? Lemina is class and good enough to transform us. Delph is good but is basically Joe Allen and we never needed him. Delph doesn't solve the issues we have in midfield but I'd have him instead of Allen every day of the week. Ah yes, I forgot to factor in your irrefutable footballing knowledge, both past & present.

If the plan is for the 3 at the bollocks won't we need more back up at CB? I'd keep him as he's very well suited to the system and can slot in on the left. I'm not sure if there's a typo in your message matey, but my own opinion (for what it's worth) is that Cameron would provide better centre back cover than Muniesa.
