I’m interested because I’ve bever been to the Emirates before and the last thing I want to do is accidentally walk into the ‘home’ pub and have to sit there with my mate in silence for fear of being ‘found out’. It’s much less intimidating to be surrounded by other Stokies (like at Yates in Southampton)! Seriously mate it’s not the 1980s anymore Just turn up and have a beer in any pub you fancy Yes, but I’m a woman and will be turning up on my own so I’d rather not feel more intimidated than I absolutely have to.

Crosscountry are running tomorrow although trains will be hourly and they won’t run south of Reading. Southampton Central is open so you’ll need to go via London. If you can get cross country to Reading then pick up the local train to Basingstoke (same route as cross country it just stops at 3 local stations and takes 5mins longer) then get an intercity from Basingstoke to Southampton (this train would have originated at London Waterloo) You’ll pass through my village (Bramley) and I’ll see you on the 11:50 with a view to getting the 12:18 or 12:33 from Basingstoke to Southampton!

Thanks TP! It's such a shame the rise in achievements plateaued a while ago and TP couldn't make it better again.
I guess at least we'll find out who/what was to blame for the even longer than normal post-Christmas slump. I'm genuinely nervous about what's to come...

I'm going, does anyone know if away shirts are generally OK at St Mary's (as OK as anywhere else anyway), I've never been before. I'm guessing the 'Spoons pubs aren't keen?

Cheers guys!
Joe, I genuinely couldn't figure that out. But most of the men out there love football and know about Stoke City, that Crouchie plays for us etc.
Tuum, yes! And you still drink it sat on tiny plastic chairs on perilous street corners! ;D

Met this Vietnamese guy in Hanoi! He was a bit freaked out that I was over-excited about his Stoke shirt

I was offered £5 tickets for a match I couldn't make so they offered me different tickets when I explained. I also ended up going to the Sunderland match and it took 10 hours to get back to Basingstoke! D'oh!

I've never lived in Stoke either, I'm from Hertfordshire. I support Stoke because it was the first home match I went to (about 10 or 11 years ago) and I couldn't not support Stoke after that...! Now my husband supports Stoke too because, in his words, Reading (our local team) fans would be dull by comparison.

Very envious, sounds great!
Let's hope for at least one more goal for Stoke than Thun tonight too to top it all off.
