don't want to sound like a damp squib but this game will be far from easy! Ok they remind me alot of the Baggies, lots of passing but no goal threat but they are playing more than okay from what I've seen of them. Very winnable and we know what the starting line up will be more or less so I would take a scrappy 1-0 now ;D Heres hoping for lots better though ;D ;D We have to be at it from kick off and after Tuesdays debacle I expect to see us fired up!!

Have to agree with mumf, I don't see this game being as easy as we anticipate, it is afterall a derby! However, I'm confident that Stoke will win. And that manager, conna stand the numpty.

My first post.
I think Wolves will prove tougher than most of you seem to think. They are young and energetic, and their defence does not leak like it did in the championship. I saw them against villa (my brother is a villa fan) and they were actually really convincing.
That being said, they can concede, and I think the result will be 1 each.
Hmmmm...........

Do we see the team being any different to that which beat Spurs? Personally I think TP will stick with the same line up purely down to the logic of if it aint broken why fix it...
I would obviously like to see a more adventurous team when on home soil and playing the likes of Wolves but as long as the boys bring home the 3 points I will be satisfied.

MATCH FACTS Head-to-head
• These clubs have met 142 times in all competitions. Wolves have won 63 of those matches and Stoke 46, with 33 drawn. • Wolves' last win at Stoke was in September 2005.
Stoke
• Stoke, in their second season in the Premier League, have five more points than they did at this stage last term.
• If selected, striker Ricardo Fuller will be playing on his 30th birthday.
• Potters forward Dave Kitson needs to score twice to take his total of league goals to 100.
Wolves
• Wolves have not won in five matches and have drawn their last two.
• A win would be only the second away victory in their Premier League history.
• Karl Henry and Chris Iwelumo could face their former club.

Since we got in the Prem I have never felt nervous before games against the top clubs (I suppose I expect a stuffing and anything else is a bonus). But games like today's make me nervous as hell. The result seems to matter much more than ever it did in the Championship - I suppose there is just so much at stake.
Anyway - another nail biting 90 (or 99!) minutes in prospect.
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNN STOKE stuff those Yam Yams!

I'd like to say that we can batter them and come away with 3 points, sadly; this is Stoke, so i can't see it happening.
We are coming off the back of 2 fantastic wins, if this was Man City today - i'd fancy us, but because it's such a wank team such as Wolves, they'll probably fuck it up and struggle to a draw.
Actually, fuck it.
3-0 Stoke, Tuncay double and Collins backpost header.

Even though I saw us in-the-flesh versus Chelski and Manure (as well as Blackpool), this is one of this season's games that I am very sad to be missing. Should be a decent game, played in a fantastic atmosphere. I think our team will be unchanged from Tottenham, save that Sorro will be back in for Simmo (who, from the write ups on here, didn't cover himself in glory in the week, which is a shame as he was superb down at WHL). Score? I think it will be a tight match. With us to win it by the odd goal, 1-0 or 2-1. goooooaaaarnnnnnnn Stoke ah

Has anyone heard any team news yet? I presume we are expecting just the one change with Sorro coming in? (although like many others on here, would love to see Tuncay get a start on the wing)

Looks like the tried and tested lob sided midfield combination then. Well it has worked however I'd still prefer Tuncay or Liam in for Delap so we can have a real go from the start rather than the last 20 minutes.

Well at least it isnt 2 defensive holding players in the middle at least Whelan might test the keeper.
