I still think Des Backos, Jeff Cook and Dave Gregory are worse than any of the others so far mentioned. are you 44?

avin spent a lot of time in the lower leagues we must have a lot of shite players full stop That's unfair!!! I wouldn't call 7 season's out of the last 80ish in the third tier 'a lot of time'!

If you are going off goals scored in games played Kitson is one of them! However he is most definitely not one of the worst strikers (talent)

Jose Andrade, O'Neill Donaldson and Kyle Lightbourne were all massively gash. Jesus that was a bad season.

Pericard Paul Williams anyone? Lightbourne, the only goal i remember him scoring coincidentally was when the Keeper miss-kicked a kick from his hands and it hit Kyle and went in.

Quite right. Wisdom comes with age I was sooooooooo excited when we signed those 2 south africans, the were pretty duff It was the way in which Eastham brought them in from South Africa. Because he had coached there and the football world was shunning them because of apartheid, it was as though he had uncovered the new Pele and his even better white mate. They arrived on the Thursday and went straight in the first team at Fulham. If memory serves me right, we lost 2-0. Backos never started again and must go down as the worst player to ever pull on the red and white striped shirt. At least Cook got a few more run outs before Durban sent him to Plymouth. Do you remember Dave Gregory? We were nearly bankrupt and spent our last money on him from Peterboro. Goodness, he was awful! Durban got rid of him pretty quickly as well.

Paul Williams was a centre half mate. I guess at a push you could classify him as a kind of link up striker fro the opposition. He must have been high in the assists table.

I know John Tudor got a mention earlier, but he must be a contender.
2 goals in his first game, then 1 in the next 30 before disappearing.
Alleluia John Tudor, John Tudor.

Keith Scott, and his Ronny Rosenthal type miss against Luton away, last game of the season, can't remember what year, I think he repeated the feat at The Vic as well, but can't remember who against. Paul Stewart was my number 2, he was so far up his own arse, he was almost inverted. Number 3, for me, was Kenwyne Jones, when we had him on loan, he was like a bloody flamingo, tall, gangly, and couldn't score in a brothel!

None of these come close to Des Backos and I think they weren't as bad as Jeff Cook or Dave Gregory either.
If anything, Backos was worse than that Ali Dia that Souness was conned into signing at Soton by 'George Weah'.
