He's my hero! What a legend. Died while watching TV last night (probably during the Keith Allen documentary about him called Keith Meets Keith).

His programmes were more about entertainment than pure cookery and he made cooking look fun. Plenty of his meals looked bloody awful, and you could see it when he feed his food to some of his guests. For me, the fact that kept those scenes in his programmes make him a legend.
I've not watched the programme from last night, and I hope it does not change my opiion of him.

The most shocking thing about the programme is how much the drink and fags have aged him. He was 65 and looked more like 80! He brought a passion to the kitchen that couldn't help but rub off on the spectator, and the guy was just funny as anything! That last scene last night round that table was very uncomfortable to watch though.

Commented that he surely didnt have long left when watching that programme last night.
Thought he was 75, not 65!

I think that was the odd thing, it was obvious he wasnt well last night, but to die on the night it was shown is very odd.

How funny was it though when they played all those VT's of TV chefs saying how much respect and admiration they have for him and then when asked what he thought of other TV chefs, keith just turned round and said "Well, they're a load of cunts", was laughing for ages at that!

Used to love him when he went round the Mediteranian cooking and having as he called it "a slurp".
First proper Chef that was decent on telly for me. To think I was only watching the documentary on him last night and thinking what a great bloke he was.
RIP Sir

A real chef as opposed to all these plastic wankers on the TV nowadays...Jamie..Deliah..Nigel..Nigella and worst of all Gormless Fucking Ramsay
What really intersts me is that whilst watching Keith Allen interviewing Floyd..I dug out one of the old 'Comic-Strips' that Keith Allen/Peter Richardson were part of...and out of my boxed-collection fell..'Detectives On The Edge of A Nervous Breakdown'..which is a fantastic and hilarious piss-take of TV chefs...
Makes you wonder eh?
Keith Floyd...Real Character...who always filled his wine-glass with every re-take..that sometimes reached double figures...and the final cut showed Keith slurring his speech and rambling on incoherently but still producing absolutely top-notch grub...
Great Bloke
KEITH FLOYD RIP
