Anyone seen the article by Mama in tonights Sentinel, particularly his comments about Dave Kitson?
Could Mama be the nicest professional footballer on this planet?
Although his time with us may come to an end over the coming months, I for one believe that the Big Man typifies the spirit that has engulfed our wonderful Football club over the last 3 years.
When fully fit, he will be a brilliant sub for us this season.

There seems to be a few folk on here that are dismissive of what role Mama has to play for the team in the future. They were saying the same thing when we got promoted, yet more than anyone else he looked the real deal on the big stage. Prolific he may never be but defenders feared him more than they did Fuller. I suspect the same thing will happen when he gets fit. And TP knows it.

I reckon he could do a job for us, particularly away from home in those tough games where we resort to route one.
He's arguably the best forward we have for holding up the ball and distribution. Could see him and Fuller possibly, with Tuncay playing in behind.
Who knows.

Mama has the potential to be a great sub, someone to bring on to shake up the oppo, but I doubt he will be a starter for us again. With 7 subs now allowed, we need at least two forwards on the bench and one of them can't be Cressie.

Nobody else can do what Mama does, and whilst we may not need that as much this season we will almost certainly still need it at times. Mama is the personification of the wonders of the last 3 years. An icon of our times

Gotta disagree with that line though fella

Mama looked better in the Premier League than he did in the Championship!
If he could score 15 goals a season as well he wouldn't be at Stoke and would be worth about 20 million.

I think he'll still have a role to play. The squad has evolved over the past season. We now have options, but we still need to vary our style of play.
There will be times when Sidibe is a useful option on the bench. Set pieces are still a huge part of our game and we're far stronger with Sidibe in the team.

Mama is a key member of our fist team and just shows the strength of squad we are assembling if it can be conceived that he may be on the bench ,,,,,

I agree with the majority that Mama will be coming off the bench to mix things up a bit. He'll get a great reception when he does make it back onto the pitch that's for sure.

Ive spoken to him a couple of times in the local shop, Ive found hes always got time for people even though they can be complete strangers, Always got a smile on his face and an absolute top bloke. Anyone whose spoken to him will know this anyway. Im sure theres still a big roll for him to play within the team when hes fit.

It' also fair to say that in these times of diving, money grabbing crybabies Mama truly represents what football is all about.
Top bloke.

I think when mamma is on defending team put two men on him to try and cut out the threat with a attacking midfielder (Tuncay) they wouldnt have a CHANCE! COME ONNNNN STTOKKKKE!

Mama will be key to us as a sub. If all else fails, hoof it to Mama. He has proved himself to be a Premier League football that will cause the best defenders a problem in the air.

I will be absolutely gutted if we sell Mama. And I wouldn't be surprised if his work rate sees him get at least a place on the bench most weeks.

I echo all the above
And I still think Fuller-Sidibe looks the most coherent partnership up front.
I may change that opinion now Tuncay has joined!

I like Mama a lot.
Infact, I have a little penchant for average players who make things happen for themselves and make a good living out of what they do - mainly through dedication, honesty and a bucket load of hard work. I detest footballers, or anyone in life, who has a god given talent for what they do best and choose to spew it up the wall for whatever reason.
For that reason alone, I hold players and people like Mama in the highest regard.
I'll be gutted when he packs in football because there are'nt enough characters in the game like him. If there were, we could get back to the days we used to call this game beautiful.
Hows that for an irony?

He'll be part of a quite strong front line we have now: another arrow to our ever stronger bow.

Come what may, Mama has endeared himself to us. (Well, a lot of us). Clearly not the most gifted of the lads to wear the red and white, he has nonetheless earned a place in the portals of our heroes. Always a trier, often our saviour, he will always be one of my Stoke heroes. Hope to see him get more games, hope to see him give his all for us. Assallamu allaikum,Mama, insha allah!
