Stoke v Sunderland + One New Stokie!

It was Miss OooGeorgieBerry's birthday this weekend so her parents and two fourteen year old brothers came up from Kent for a few days. They bought tickets for this game, only for a relative to suddenly die back in their homeland of Ireland, so the parents went back there on Friday for the removal and funeral Saturday. The gent that died studied at Keele and lived part of his life in Reading, supporting and following Reading when he moved back to Cork. How beautifully fitting was it that on the day of his funeral that an ex-Reading player scored his first goal for Stoke.

After leaving our flat in Stafford I bumped into a neighbour, who offered a Stoke shirt to one of the boys to wear for the day as well as he was the only one not kitted out (one was wearing an old shirtof mine). A very generous gesture from a man that I have barely spoken to. Good ol' Stokies!

So, I ended up not sitting in my season ticket seat and had one of their tickets in the Boothen instead. The following pictures show our day out, and her brothers' first trip to the Brit. One of which is now going to start following Stoke after such a wonderful day out. The songs were part of the day that they loved the most I think.
