I understand that you have been unwell Chuffed , I hope that you are feeling better my friend ....yes get yourself over to Lanzarote its the ideal place to recover from being out of sorts ! 👍 Looks like I'll be out of action for a while so I thought I'd have a look at the cheap week in the sunshine somewhere. Lanzarote looks ok and not too expensive. Plenty of choice out there. Well, they did say rest. 😉 Has Bish bitten yet mate

I had an ultrasonography done today, followed by a prostate biopsy. Now, the urine is exactly like a mix of raspberry and blackcurrant juice. Is ultrasonography or MRI scan the usual standard procedure in Britain? We have the low cost version here in the UK . They stick a couple of fingers up your Arse and say that's fine . I had it done by my ( lady ) GP. A month ago. I had one done when I was 34, totally unexpected! You see I came there with a sore throat, to check if it was tonsillitis again. The indian man said: bend over. I did. Had no idea why. Then he said: "Anything else?" "I have a sore throat." "I have checked you now. Go home and rest." One of weirdest visits to a doctor yet.

The swedish word "halsfluss" (tonsillitis) must have been close to some indian word for (prostate illness)?

Has Bish deleted his account it looks that way I've been off the Oatie (sick list, still on it) for a couple of weeks & this is only a brief look-in, but what lousy news - Bisp was one of the best posters we've ever had, so this news is a huge shock and a real sickener. I'm totally gutted. If anybody knows Bisp on terra firma, can you please ask him to make a return appearance on here asap? Ta. Really, TA.

I orded copies from the last 20 years of the medical journals written at the Emergency Unit at the hospital here plus from the Allergology dpt. The cost is 50 SEK (£5) plus 2 SEK (£0.2) for each copy.
So I thought the bill was for 300 SEK (£30) - the maximum fee for this service.
Instead they decided not to charge me at all, for the package?! There was no bill inside.

My GP is great she takes an interest genuinely in my health . When this test came up she asked me if I wanted a male colleague to give me the finger I said definitely not . She didn't laugh of return my wink though It sounds as though you see the same GP each time, H --- is that so? I haven't been to the doc for 22 years...... ...... Oh, tell a lie, went in 2007 to get a prescription for wossnames..... malaria tabs.

It sounds as though you see the same GP each time, H --- is that so? I haven't been to the doc for 22 years...... ...... Oh, tell a lie, went in 2007 to get a prescription for wossnames..... malaria tabs. Yes I do although it's normally 3 weeks to see your own GP Harry, the last time Mr Surf went to the surgery we go to was probably 2 or 3 years ago, and he went because (and I admit I kept on at him till he went) he had three things I thought needed checking out: (a) a really bad and persistent cough which he'd had for months & months, although (unlike me) he's NEVER smoked, (b) a darkish, raised 'mark' that had appeared and grown on his cheek and (c) AN Other……. The last time he'd been to the surgery before this had been in 1996 --- so they'd had their money's worth out of him (/us) in the meantime as they are paid an annual sum simply for having him (/us) remaining on their books --- anyway, he arrived in good time but then sat and waited in the waiting room for well over an hour - as usual - then eventually went through. He told the doc the 3 reasons he'd made the appointment, whereupon literally all the guy did was say "I'm running late - go back to reception and make another appointment and come back in a week's time." So that was what he did. I don't know if I would have been so patient had I experienced the same thing, but this was a doctor I'd never seen. In any case I'd like to think that if I'd been on the receiving end of such an unprofessional and disgracefully cavalier attitude I would have - at a very minimum - gone back and waited outside for the bar steward to leave the surgery at c. 6pm and then accidentally let Fido off the leash.

Murph what your long suffering other half witnessed was the classic casual arrogance I've experienced loads of times in the NHS . A few years ago one of my twins needed an operation and it was booked in . Of cause the lad was very very worried about being cut and anaesthetic etc . Three times we went only to find it was cancelled twice he had the pre meds as well . The last time the surgeon forgot about the opp and went into London shopping . The head of surgery told us to return on Monday instead of the 3 months it always took to reschedule. We returned to find the arrogant surgeon standing 6 ft away from us . He offered no explanation or apology and didn't even look at my lad .they quite often give the impression they are doing you a favour

Now at 54, when it was 6-7 out of 10, on a pain scale.

Just told Dees this, on the EECC thread, starting to rally a bit, I hope - for the last week it's been one step forward then two steps back..... So keeping everything crossed for a day or two from now on......
PS: I don't know how the Queen drinks Gin & Dubonnet - (her + the Queen Mother's fave tipple) - I've tried one tonight (so obv feeling at least a bit better & giving the staff sth to do) & I'm not saying it's strong but it's practically taken the enamel off me teeth.
However, this isn't the main reason for the post.......

How do you get injured during the night Musik ? Did you fall out of bed or something ? Most of my injuries come while I'm asleep, when I have no control of myself. I tried some ice on it the first evening. Now I will go for warmth.

I get most of my injuries from several places. Variety being the spice of life, or pain in my case.
