Yes it’s been difficult. My Mum died a year to the day that Dad went. My mum hadn’t sorted everything out from Dad dying when she was taken I’ll. It just makes everything so much more complicated. I really sympathise with you Billy. My mum was quite ill even before my dad died and she became even worse after he'd passed, I think she basically just gave up. Trying to sort things out became extremely difficult but fortunately (?) I'd just about managed to get everything in order a few months before mum died. I then obviously had to go through it all again trying to sort mum's estate out. Good luck ! Yes thanks Deeside. I’m hoping to submit for probate next week. Unfortunately Dad had only been dead a few months before my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was dead in 3 months so left things in a bit of a mess.

Might not all be plain sailing, methinks........... Have they still got posters of Wilhelm up at all the border control points, Bisp? I don’t know about Wilhelm but they certainly still have the pictures up of Bill ! ...No borders in Menorca and Lanzarote though only wet ones !

Wilhelm, if I've told 'Arry once, I've told him a dozen times --- get a paternity test done on the twins…….. something's never right - one of 'em supports Chelski and the other one Barcebleedinlona! Marvelous isn’t it ! I never get offered a malt ! No wonder I stopped coming on here 😡

As shit years go Bill I'd give you a run for your money at the moment. Hopefully light at the end of this particular tunnel. Are you still on crutches, Chuff????? Thankfully not. I can get around on my own two feet now, strange concept for me. Bone clinic in a couple of weeks and now a surprise trip to the Haywood. Fun, fun, fun. 😉

Fun, fun, fun. 😉 Well there's a thing! Were you at the Haywood yesterday afternoon, Chuff? Mr Surf was! He slipped in a muddy lane last Thursday whilst doing the early-morning 1.5 miles with Fido (name changed to protect the innocent) and landed badly on his right hand + grazed it very deeply and after 5 days it's still all a proper mess + badly puffed up. Ever since he did it I've been asking him to go to the Acky Unit or similar to get it properly looked at and over the weekend he eventually said he'd go on Monday…. so I spent some time Gg 'walk-in' places and decided the Haywood seemed best - we've never used it before although my friend Susie has been there a couple of times in the past when her spaniel-from-hell has turned a bit toothy on her. Anyway, Crispin was at the Haywood for 4 or 5 hours and has come back with his hand all bandaged and strapped up & they've X-rayed it & said he's broken a bone in it and have given him a course of antibios + he's got to go to the Fracture Clinic at the big stripy place on Wednesday for them to do something else following on from the X-ray. I said to him 'See - it's a good job you got it checked out, isn't it, Crispy?' And then…..'I told you so'.

You know full well that they're one and the same - he's a genius with many ale-y asses. Besides, I like saying 'Votch it, Wilhelm.....' And anyway, on the wet borders they've got the posters pasted to the buoys bouys boys boyos big floaty things. Admit it - you've seen 'em!

Morning everyone ! "WAKEY WAKEY" ! What a lovely morning for doing everything you put off yesterday ! (Unless you can put it off until tomorrow) ! The missus has just decided "we" are going to start decorating one of the spare bedrooms this morning - and I hate decorating ! "One" of the spare bedrooms, I note. Ladies and gents, our esteemed friend is putting out a non too subtle coded message that he lives in a mansion....and in Cheshire no less. Must be worth a pretty penny or two, I reckon. How do the walls look like now after the second coat, or is it the third? Would you recommend this purple paint or is it a gimmick? Far more important...is the Managing Director satisfied?

Errr....don't be misled, it's certainly not a mansion auntie The pink paint is really good as it shows if you've missed any bits, and then it dries white. "The boss" is reserving judgement until the 4th wall has been painted. I reckon I might just happen to find a few faults with the door and woodwork after she's painted them

The closest I've been to the exclusive Bispham Towers is Mrs Wiggins Boarding House on the North Shore. It does have a 2 star rating on TripAdvisor and a good view of the tower, however. I'm just a working class bloke from Stoke after all.

Just outside Fleetwood I think. He reckons the best fish and chips in the country are to be had in Fleetwood.

He does ...he runs the catering part of a pub in Fletwood called The Strawberry Gardens ...he’s wrong about the fish and chips though ...the best we have had are in Skipton in Yorkshire

There's a fish n chip sit down restaurant in Haworth in Yorkshire (or was when I was last there about 8 years ago) that served superb grub. Not too far away from the Bronte Parsonage. Also there's a place in the main street in Caernarfon that does fish n chips that are the best I've ever had. Shall have to put Skipton on my list now!

There's a tiny shop in Parkgate on the Wirral that does superb fish and chips that really take some beating. It's the ground floor of a tiny terraced house and there's always a queue stretching outside.
There's also a really good ice cream shop as well.
