This thread's gone quiet for the past couple of weeks (ok ok, it's been Christmas I hear you say) but also it's descended into people trying to sell stuff, which wasn't Bondy's original idea at all, or mine... so do we keep it pinned, do we set up a separate For Sale and Wanted sub-board or what?
Personally I wish it would go back to being an Oatie Freecycle thread but maybe that's just me?

I'm after one of those mini beer fridges, I wanna keep baby food in it upstairs to save me (or more honestly, the missus) trapsing downstairs in the middle of the night.
I know they're only about £30-50 new but I've forked out £000s already on baby stuff and i'll only need it for a few month.
It's the kind of shitty novelty christmas gift that folks migh have lying around...they're too small to keep any decent qty of beer in!
Obviously I'll collect and if it's new I'll sort ya a few quid or beers out.

We've just had a conifer chopped down and we have about nineteen logs available - approx 2-3ft long and about 4-7 inches in diameter.
Would be suitable for a wood burner maybe?
£1 each or take them all for £15.
Buyer would have to collect (Trent Vale area)

My daughter has outgrown her old bed so it's either going to the tip or you can have it for free. You'll need to collect from Loggerheads but I've already dismantled it so it'll go in most hatchback cars. No matress included.

You could leave it as is, Sal. It's not as if it's taking up a lot of room.  My take on it is that if someone wants to give something away, that's great. If someone wants to get few bob for summat that they've done with and it's cheap enough and somebody wants it, that's great too. It's when it becomes obvious that somebody is using it like Ebay that I would draw the line. I haven't seen too much of that. Or make two threads like Dixo says would be a better idea? OS. |

I've got a houseful of rubbish, DV. I'm a hoarder. The only thing that I might move on is about 80 Beannie Babies that are at least 12 years old. My wife used to collect them before she died. Like most of the stuff she had, I've just left it where it was. But this lot are filling two drawers and I need room for more junk. Reasonable offers. OS. |
