How good is Fuller in the grand scheme of things? He got one more goal than Adebayor and Defoe this year, but one less than Darren Bent and Kevin Davies. He also commited almost half lthe amount of fouls than Davies. www.premierleague.com/page/Statistics/0,,12306,00.html

i think he could be you know, to be fair they both pretty lazy and stubborn, but fuller uses his feet alot more and has alot more power than what adebayor has, so i would say yes!

Imagine the amount of goals if he hadn't been injured and got that red card too!

Fuller is great no two ways about that. If he didn't get all moody when he thinks things haven't gone his way I think he could be better. So maybe next year he'll be higher on that list!

Where the heck did Darren Bent get his goals from? I was unaware that he was actually even playing in thr Spurs first team with Defoe and Keane in there??

According to the tallest player statistics, Ryan Shawcross is the same height as Danny Pugh!! And our tallest player is Thomas Sorenson!!

both are similar in that they can be the laziest players you've ever seen at times but can be brilliant when they want to be, i bet Adebayor is regretting turning down manure now

I think Adebayor is better in the air TBH.

I reckon Fuller has scored more headers than Adebayor.

I'm all for 'bulling up' our players folks and I love Ric but lets get back 'on earth' for a minute! You can't simply look at goals scored when measuring players against each other because you end up with a very distorted picture. Ric's done great and he gives us that something a little bit different but Adebayor will move for Zillions and is mentioned alongside AC Milan and the like. I suggest that's because he is a very good player!

On his day there aren't many better strikers in this league than Ric! I guess Torres, Wankoaldo, Shrek, Carew and Tevez are the only ones certain to be better. Some will say Anelka, but I'm not convinced he would have done better for us. Drogba could be mentioned , but I honestly think Ric is better with the ball at his feet. Maybe not as strong as Drogba and maybe not so good in the air. Adebayor is a good striker' but he also get a lot more opportunities because of his team mates. As I said, can't see many strikers I would have swopped Ric for! ;D

It's great that everyone loves Ric, and he's had a good season. But a better player than Adebayor, who will attract the attention of Europe's top clubs? Let's have a bit of perspective.

A couple of things to note :
Fuller only started about 25 / 26 games. He only takes penalties when he wins them ( and missed 1 ), so his tally could easily have been a few more.

I honestly believe that if Rikki played 10 games for a top 4 side, the media would rave about him as being amongst the best and most exciting forwards in the Country.
He is really that good. If he played for a decent side, the opposition wouldn't be able to put 3 men on him all the time and he would run amock.
Rikki is a class act, hampered really by being in a less than creative Stoke City team. We are very lucky to have him and I often wonder why some Stokies don't seem to realise this.

wall...somewhat bizarely I don't rate Beattie that highly...certainly not as highly as Rikki.
Beattie's goals have obviously been vitally important and like all Stokies, I love him to bits, but if you actually look at his general contribution to games, it is pretty poor.
I know he has been hampered by an injury almost since arriving, so I hope next season sees him harness goals with a better all round contribution as well.
I think he has admitted himself that there is more to his game than just goals, but we haven't really seen that to date.

Yeah. I'm definitely in that camp as well.
Injuries and bad luck have deprived him of the shot at the real big time that his top talent merited. And, even now, he probably isn't the physical specimen he could have been with his injuries knocking 5-10% off him.
And perception is everything. So because he plays for little old Stoke, he'll generally be perceived as an inferior player. If he'd had this platform at 23 to showcase himself, I think he'd have undoubtedly gone to a top 6 team. Maybe more, who knows?
He was flying at Preston and had just about got over his early career injuries, then he screwed his knees again and just as he would have been blasted into the big time at 23/24, he was physically unable to perform for 2-3 years - and it took his move here to get him firing again.

Fuller is easily better than Adebayor. Pick a striker who would actually get a game for the Vale if you want to make a comparison with him.

ah this would be Adebayor who's currently being linked with the likes of Milan and Inter then...
Fuller is a good player, but he's not top 6 premiership. Let's keep our feet on the ground ehh?

Agreed - Adebayor has a brilliant first touch - can bring a ball down from 6 foot in the air with one touch, turn on it and then skin a player to score He also has great pace and a great accuracy of shot and is good witth his head He hasnt been great at Arsenal this season because he got his py rise last year and also the arsenal fans gave him loads atg the start of the season for thinking of joining Milan Fuller has certainly got some talents and is very good with the ball ar his feet - which funnily enough makes him look a bit lumbering at times - but i dont think he is in the same class However - i would say that Liam Lawrence was definately better than Ronaldo
