Are you lot going to sing properly today or what!!??! No offence to you top boys and girls who give it a good go but it is a poor effort when you see 3 sides of the ground roaring their heads off and then what can only be described as a comparitively luke warm effort from the MAIN stand. The manager and players deserve your full repect and appreciation today! Sing up in the West Stand!!!

As long as they're there making a sea of red and white, that doesn't matter, we have been the loudest crowd all season, they must have been doing something, and if they haven't they have been doing enough anyway

and the rest ? my new found friend In the Boothen and the seddon and the South stand and indeed the West ...I don't think so..rather, I know so... Indeed most couldn't be arsed getting of thier arses and filling the the old vic until the last game against West Brom and lets be honest it didn't taken much to fill the old girl by the end of her llife It's been discussed to the eneth degree, both seriously ( to discover reasons ) amusingly and now increasingly boringly ..an urban myth that ( on here at least ) that there's superior sections of our support and inferior ones. Want to go in a section of the ground thats partizan then do so , want one that's not? choose that..want a section to change? then go in there often enough and change it from within... That's always been the way at home games since I'vre been going down....perhaps we could compare records if you want to get really uppity about it? Boothen's always called a spade a spade..as an ex boothen ender I stand by my first and 2nd posts

I fully agree with your wise words Mr Scouse. I have sat in the new Boothen and stood in the old, likewise the Boothen and West Stands, but the point Mr R&W Eyes makes is, today...just for today let us all be united in one voice and raise the roof for our magnificent men in red and white.

Mate what do you expect look at the majority of people who sit in the stand and they can barely stand up let alone belt a tune out.People sing as loud as then can at every match this season so asking people for more aint going to happen is it.The players will get a big cheer today and many more to follow so no point in asking is there.

Actually, I don't think you fully understand what you are asking for. It's only as noisy as it is because they amplify the shouting through the PA system. And you really cannot believe how difficult it has become, chatting with the rest of the chaps, while you are all making such a bloody racket. I think the rest of you should keep the noise down a little, particularly in the Boothen End, it's putting me off my prawn sandwiches.

Nothing wrong with the support in the West Stand. You should be having a go at the South Stand instead. They don't even watch the game. They spend the whole match goading the away support. Then they go home and watch the goals on Match of the Day.

It is a pity that the whole ground doesn,t bounce, that would be frightening! But the boothen stand at the vic was pretty similar. You have mostly older cap wearing stokies in there who,ve done there jumping and singing 40 yrs ago (Respect paid). And you try jumping up and down when you,ve drank a full hip flask of whisky

I don't know about the rest of the stand but my section (block13) sing, but our primary objective is to make the environment for the opposition bench, manager and coaching staff as HOSTILE as possible for the entire game, they really don't enjoy their visit to the Brit, I assure you! If I want to fucking sing for 90 minutes I will go to church ???

Yes, well done, you're all superior supporters. Over the past month we've been told that people pay their money so they're entitled to watch only 15 minutes of the match and spend the rest of the game in the concourse and then block everyone's view as they waddle in and out/leave 15 minutes early/throw objects at opposition players/run on the pitch.
West Brom have a problem like this, their support is fractured in two parts because the chavvy ***** in the Smethwick End, next to where we were, claim to be the only people in the ground making any effort and are therefore the only real supporters in the ground.

If the older supporters wish to sit in the West Stand then that is their choice and we should all have some respect for them.
These are the people who were at Brammall Lane for the heartbreak in 1947, they supported the club through the awful 1950's, they saw the return of Stan and Waddo's stars, they stuck with the club through 23 years of desolation and they are still there to rejoice today with the rest of us.
They are part of our family. At a family party, do the old uns lead the karaoke and lead the disco. Usually no. These people have supported the club for way longer than nearly everyone on this board. Respect them, find the time to talk to them about their memories, but don't criticise them until you haven't missed a home game for at least 50 years like them.

Funny how suddenly everyone's required to "do your job!" as a supporter these days. Where were all you crazy party animals when we were drawing 0-0 at home to Nuneaton and Tamworth in front of about 13,000 and virtual silence?
I fucking love the West Stand. I've always gone there in the Brit and I was in the Vic's equivalent. We do sing, it's a good view, bollocking the opposition bench is always good for a chuckle. It was a bit dodgy that time when they started putting rocket in the prawn sandwhiches, and what they charge for the dandelion and burdock is outrageous, as I was telling my friends Cecil and Tarquin the other day, but you can't have everything.
