No harm in having him on the bench, It would be nice to see him in the team with a bit of creativity and a midfield which is capable of creating chances in open play, I think he'd benefit from Lawrence/Etherington and Whelan (in his current form), he never had this luxury when he played earlier in the season.

get dave on the bench....who knows what may happen...
dave is a pro footballer...if wants to move on to another club this is a great chance for him to sell himself....
who knows he might admit to himself that he has made an error and start to feel at home.
he is going to have to ick his wife and kids up the arse and show them who is the boss in his house...
i would love to see dave put on a good show for us and for himself......
come on kits you can do it for us...
goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarn stoke....

2 choices for you Dave Kitson.
A) Do you want to be a part of a Premier League club that indicates it is going places, work hard and potentially reap huge rewards both financially and proffessionally, and be adored by fanatical support?
B) Play football beneath your ability level, pick up a reasonable pay cheque and be big fish in the little pond?
CHOOSE OPTION A - STOKE CITY!!!

Here is a second scenario for you all to ponder. We have a happy dressing room and a squad that is fully a part of what we are trying to achieve as a club.
On the other hand, DK by his own admission does not have anything in common with the rest of the squad. TP talks about personal issues.
Is DK just going to provide a distraction to the rest of our players?

Is DK just going to provide a distraction to the rest of our players? That's been my feeling ever since we got shut of him back to Reading. Potential poison in the dressing room. But if TP's taken him back, why not give him a shot in a game that means (nearly) owt?

No because at the moment we could pass him off as an half decent striker. If we play him again we wont be able to.

Is he allowed to?
Daft question, possibly...but is'nt there a ruling that players cant play for their parent clubs after returning from a season long/long term loan arrangment (where a fee is involved)??
Or am i imagining it?

He may play a screamer tomorrow like Mark Viduka does whenever his contract is expiring or is about to be sold

Or am i imagining it? I dont think he can play, I mean Windass went out on loan, and he isnt allowed to play again this season for hull. So does the same thing apply for Kitson

Is he allowed to? Daft question, possibly...but is'nt there a ruling that players cant play for their parent clubs after returning from a season long/long term loan arrangment (where a fee is involved)?? Or am i imagining it? Gallagher went back to Blackburn after his long loan to us (in the Bozzie season) in time to play the last two or three games at Blackburn. So I can't see any reason why Kitson can't be included in the squad today. I'd include him and (if the way the game pans out allows it) I'd try to get him on the pitch for the last 15 minutes or so. There is bound to be some concern in his own mind as to what sort of welcome he will get from the fans. Better for him (and us) if we get it sorted out now rather than to let the worry fester over the summer. Selling him (given his wages and the length of his contract) is NOT going to be easy. So we had better get used to having him around. If he plays well and gets a few goals that has to be good for him and us - whether it means a move or a new chance at Stoke. EDIT - after all that has been said and all that has happened, the best thing all round would be for him to find the form that made him a good player in the first place. If he and the club decided that he had a future here, that would suit me fine. It is one less position for TP to worry about.

Yes. He can be good for the club. We need to improve his confidence by getting behind him. He cant go anywhere so lets help him.

I would be surprised if he's around today and Tony puts him on the bench. I got the impression from TP's comments that he could still a job 'next season'. Agree with early post of upsetting other regular bench warmers etc.

Is he actually back at Stoke? listening to Pulis he was on about having a preseason with Stoke etc. so it maybe he is not actually coming back until next season. Has he been at training this week?

I probably would with Camara being out.
But I'd be surprised if he was.
And we've heard nothing to suggest that Pulis has insisted on him returning to the club for the last week of training so it looks like he may not even be back up here.
