i think we are in the pecking orde whereever mr coates wants us to be, outside the top 4/5 of course.
our widely publicised'best support' will push us up a few places too imo.

But by way of example, if say Bolton, Wigan and Stoke were prepared to match Boro's asking price for Gary O'Neil, then I really don't think there would be too much between the three teams as far as the player was concerned, apart from the wages that were being offered. That's a bit spooky, I suggested the above yesterday, just by way of example, then this turns up in the Mail today: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1181402/Megson-wants-ONeil-Bolton-Boro-relegated.htmlI wonder if it was a straight race between us and Bolton, if it would as far as O'Neil was concerned, be just down to a matter of wages or would he see Bolton as the bigger more established club?

I genuinely think if it came down to wages, Coates' muscle and desire to push the boat out this close season would see us outmuscle Boton.
And,in O'Neil's case, with his personal link with Pulis, maybe he'd prefer a move here anyway.
It's hard to be objective when we all instinctively see things subjectively, but I really don't think many targets would see us asa more dangerous move than the likes of Bolton, particularly if they talked to Pulis and Coates.

If I was a player looking at a move to bolton I'd have to factor in the well-publicised Megson Hating Wankstains - despite lasting the whole season in the face of discontented fans, he still has the air of being a bad run of results away from some renewed hostility from the fans, and ultimately that is going to make Megson that little bit more sackable. That to me puts a little cloud of instability over the Reebok, even if in reality it seems the club is being run excellently by both chairman and manager.
Contrastingly, we've been surrounded by great press and are probably perceived as 27500 ianrb's (insert barbershop joke here).
