That's a pretty damning indictment. A 20-year-old who has got back from an average loan spell at Leyton sodding Orient preferred to him.
A £500,000 loan fee plus a few hundred thousand in wages that Coppell splashed on the Prodigal Son, and then he goes and leaves him out of the biggest games of their season (as well as a couple of their last league games , I think?)
If even his old chum, Coppell, thinks he can't do it in the Championship for a Reading team set up for him over the last 4 years, it tells a pretty sorry story.

i don't see what the problem is... surely a player who described signing for us as "a mistake" displays just the commitment to the club we all want?
"Now, looking back, and with that in mind, you have to put your hands up and say I made a mistake, nobody else.
"I made the decision, nobody forced me to go to Stoke.
"I went there thinking I could start a new challenge and do well for another less fashionable club and keep it in the Premier League. I was wrong and I put my hands up."
Now there's a man who'd die for the red and white!!!!!

There were supposedly other offers on the table, notably a £4m bid from Brum for Kitson in January.
I'm still hopeful we'll get half back from what we originally paid. Certainly he's not a player I want (or should ever need) to play for Stoke again.

Le'ts hope he either stays there on a season long loan and signs if they go up next summer, or some other team (I can't see it in being a Prem team) come in for him. Either way, we are looking at a big loss. I don't think he will play for us again. Birmingham were said to be interested ! Good ridence

Anyone know if he is eligible to play in the remaining two Stoke fixtures?

Yeah. Definitely going through the motions.
I imagine both Kitson and Pulis want the whole sorry episode closed as quickly as possible.
But it might be easier said than done.

Anyone know if he is eligible to play in the remaining two Stoke fixtures? I don't know for a fact Knowles, however I would have thought that he would be eligible. Surely his loan deal with Reading was until the end of their season, I'm sure the contract would have had a flexible end date on it, based on when they stopped playing competitive football this term, rather than somet fixed like May 31st 2009 for example. Of course I could be wrong mind.

As his return hasn't been explicity mentioned, you get the impression that Pulis hasn't insisted on his return for the last 9 or 10 days of our season.
Probably easier that way, as he wouldn't have featured, would he?
