sorry, but it's so cheap and nasty it's untrue. Know plenty will like it and pre-order but just when are Stoke City going to get a kit worthy of the club?
Yet again, we get LCS and their second rate and second division kits.
Where to start?
The sponsors' logo is simply hideous. Why couldn't they just have had red Britannia lettering on the black shirt rather than having what looks like it painted bloody on? That would have smartened it up no end.
It's also far too close to the badge.
The design. Wow. Those done on here by a Stoke fan were a million times better than this. It looks like the cheapest material and design you could wish to see and simply stuck on a plain black polo shirt.
I simply pray they don't ruin the red and white stripes. Ffs, just how hard is it to design a half-decent kit for us?

You can't ordinarily go wrong with black and I think it's pretty passable. Nice and simple.
The Britannia logo, however, is absolutely soddin' vile and does its best to try to ruin the overall effect.

Bunny,
I have to say I agree mate. But then I didn't particularly like our current home shirt when it was launched and it grew on me.
Totally agree with your sentiments on Le Coq Sportif. Second rate in every way!!!
Does anyone know how long the contract with LCS has to run?

Britannia sponsor us though, so you can't change their logo for the sake of the kits.
Plus, their logo IS a red stripe, and is the PERFECT sponsor for our home kits...
ANY other company logo would ruin the home kits.

i would agree bunny but i aint going to argue with this:
"Abdoulaye Faye points to the badge on what he describes as an 'outstanding new kit"
are you?

have a look at Knave of Clubs on the back page of tonights' Sentinel....even they have a better kit than us. A cheap LCS black polo shirt, the likes of which most would turn their nose up at on the sale rck at JJB next to the Lonsdale stuff, stick a SToke badge on and add a monstrosity of a sponsors logo.
The quicker CoOp take over the better if that's what Britannia want.
Adopts tin hat, but £35 for that!?!??!

I think it's okay tbh. Wish they had put more thought in designing the trim though, exactly the same as the blue one in the promotion season.

Why can't they just have the Britannia lettering in red - like Hull have on their kits etc?
F*** me, BBS have had enough cheap marketing out of SCFC to last lifeteime. £1 million for a 10 year stadium sponsorship deal - an absolute steal.

It's ok and an improvement. My main objection is the sponsors logo - it looks soooo cheap with a plastic patch ironed on. The jury is still out on the collar.

The only thing that bothers me is that the collar looks like it will go all pubey after a few washes and curl up.

I'd accept keeping the full red stipe Britannia logo on the home kits (to compliment the stripes)... and just having white lettering on the away kit.

We haven't ever really sorted the Britannia thing out have we? I don't know if they insist on how it appears due to corporate reasons but I would have thought there should be a way of doing it without the ironed on patch that we seem to favour.

It's a shocking, lazy kit design by a second rate company!! Perhaps it'll look better in the flesh (the words straws and clutching sping to mind)

What do other clubs do with their sponsor logos on kits? Surely they're all iron on patches or letters too. Now this IS tacky...

I really, really like this kit, The black and red colouring is far more distinguished and stylish than the yellow and blue of this season’s away kit, which some say is cursed, while I’m particularly pleased about the proper, open collar, which in my opinion is aesthetically more pleasing than the tighter, closed variety favoured on most modern football shirts, and makes the shirt that bit more wearable for the fan. The black colour is also extremely imposing, which fits very nicely with the reputation as a team of blood-lust harbouring colossuses we’ve gained over the course of this season in the Premier League.
Anyone know what the pricing will be yet?

www.stokecityfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10310~657318,00.html Still the same issues with the logo on the black kit of the Boskamp season too. Is there nothing that can be done to stop the issues with this kit-destroyer?

Completely agree... nothing will ever beat the black/grey PUMA kit (2005-2006???) Edit: Praying for a home kit like this...

Black polo shirt <smiley>
We should be telling the likes of LCS to do one and actually get a decent name in tbh. Be honest, what the f*** have LCS ever done in football and sport in general?
An outsider we should really be looking at is Hummel - outstanding quality of kits and leisurewear.

An outsider we should really be looking at is Hummel - outstanding quality of kits and leisurewear. So you want frikkin ARROWS all over the kit? Wouldn't be seen dead in a Hummel kit mate. We should never have lost the contract with PUMA, only Puma and Nike are capable of making smart kits that look good as casual wear too.

Hummel - old skool 80's kits and designs and cutting edge stuff they make nowadays. Those arrows down the sleeves are quality. Check out old Denmark kits or www.stmirrendirect.co.uk/acatalog/08_home_shirt_thumb.jpgSt Mirren's kit, better than anything we've had in many a year Nike are nowt in football culture terms. Never ben anything. All the best trainers from the 70's onwards had 3 stripes on them, and Nike are simply a 21st Century footballing whorehouse. Cheaply made stuff too.

Lawto, I would kill for Adidas mate, but check out that St Mirren kit. Also, my school stuff for my boys is Hummel and is outstanding quality mate, as is my coat.
Their new stuff is brilliant and very reasonably priced, too.

I think it looks pretty smart. After LCS I would like to see either Puma, Adidas or Canterbury. Just be thankful we don't have Champion (aka JJB smartprice), Macron or Errea.

Nah, the Newcastle kits look awful, Adidas over-do kits these days and cram too much detail into them... Nike and Puma are more minimalist and retro, especially the Nike ones. Nike Adidas I'd go with Nike
