I am reliably informed that there are questions being asked as to what actually went on here in the "corridors of power" and from other areas of the media. What difference it will make I'm not sure. Interesting to note the silence from the fans forum.

Lets just bring this down to the correct level - Na, na, na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na,na Welsh (insert naughty word here)
Well done Knowingeye you saw the same as me and, as with you, my complaints to our "brave boys in Blue" fell on deaf ears - wankers!

Ok, so the chants directed at Jones were not pleasant, but you can't tell me he doesn't get the same abuse at every away ground he visits. The fact is, Wilkinson was bang out of order in assaulting the ballboy and the St.Johns bloke and from what I have read, the majority of the abuse was a direct result of this incident.
Jones is clearly using the "peado" chants as a smokescreen to protect his staff from any action that would be taken should the incident be properly investigated. He knows Stoke have a reputation and the media are always only too willing to cover any negative aspects of our club while ignoring anything remotely positive and as for the attitude of the Police at Stoke games, it is and always has been, quite frankly, a fucking disgrace.
While I do have some sympathy for Jones, his actions on this occaision have been unproffessional and in drawing attention away from what actually happened and focusing on the taunts of the Stoke fans, he has virtually guaranteed that he will now recieve a lot more of the same treatment wherever he goes over the next few weeks.

I was thinking 1 letter, is that enough for action to be taken?
How about a comunial letter, taht somebody with good spelling and grammar, ie not me could write and the people who feel strongly about the issue could all send to the FA

Good letter, but I'll be very surprised if it is published next Sunday - the Observer usually only puts in about half a dozen sports letters, and that is for all sports, not just footie.

Well done knowingeye for not letting it drop. Talking to someone who sits in the directors box he said that between them they saw a ball thrown in a ball boys face, a st johns ambulance man get grief and Jones give a "magicing the beans" hand movement to th fans behind the dug out who were having a go to the trainer. Well I'm amazed that stoke fans are more bothered about what certain sections of the stoke crowd were singing than they are about the kid/the st johns bloke or even the gesture...which apparently was before the chants towards him! Yeah it was wrong what stoke fans sang but if jones had done what he should of done and had ago at his trainer none of this would of happened. Im not bothered about his gesture but the ball boy thing shouldnt be dropped.

Why don't the parents of the ball boy or the St Johns Ambulance person contact the police with regards bringing a complaint of "assault" against the Cardiff official concerned? Seems the most sensible thing to do in my opinion.

According to a local media contact who spoke to me today, he said he had spoken with the club and their view, according to him, was that the issue is something for the Welsh FA and the police to resolve between them. I don't think that anymore needs to be said, as we know this will go nowhere now and as it's nothing to do with Stoke City, then it's down to outside bodies who will have no obvious interest in taking this further.

Update. It's fair to say that there are journalists (local, national and web-based football forum) wanting to run a story of the problems at the recent Cardiff game at the Brit. Although many witnessed what took place, I am reliably informed that the club will not go on the record to make a statement, understandably perhaps, given the potential legal issues.
