The problem in Belgium is its split down the middle and each seem to hate each other so you're walking on eggshells with the language. I'm one of those people who gives foreign language a try when i go away because it annoys me how people expect foreigners to speak English. However, to look at someone like they're scum because they've spoken to you in French instead of Flemish is out of order.
And for those going on about the war etc. I went to the world cup a couple of years ago and the Germans were the friendliest, most hospitable people I've EVER encountered so I have nothing but good words to say about them.

Australians like the english! There is banter sure but theyre friendly as once you get past the piss taking. And the french are great for banter most of the time
For me im sceptical of the strict muslim countries as their people cannot integrate well in our western, more hedonistic societies. Any society that makes women wear a Burka burka is duff if you ask me.

Ok if push comes to shove I would have to say China/Japan .Its either I dont understand them (probably) but in my experience they dont integrate and I find them ignorant .But as I said its most probably us who dont understand their culture. Got to be Germans for me, they are way to serious, even there holidays are taken way too seriously with the planning of capturing best positioned sunbeds etc etc,
hate the germans they have no sense of humour and do not understand ours, its always nice to get a sunbed very close to them at the hotel get really pissed and rowdy by the pool and watch them mutter words of hatred about us to each other as they try to understand and place blame on each other of how their excellent holiday planning led them to be on the next sunbed to a bunch of pissed up loud stokies ;D
