Should have one on its own now its in full flow.
Must point out that I really think we have to move on form our current squad and show no sentiment. Bye to a few favorites I think.
Boro : Wheater, O'Neil , Tuncay & Johnsom all decent shouts.
WBA : None
Newcastle: Right back from Senegal )Name passes me Beye ? Blackburn : Samba, Nelson , Warnock
Sunderland: Cisse
Hull : Centre half is decent (Can't think of name)
Any other shouts ??
Bye Bye to Dicko,Cresswell,Pugh,Perricard,Tongue, Soarses, Sonko, Kitson, Oli etc. Seen a few threads saying they could do a good job for the squad , but t the end of the day they have at be good enough to perform in the prem for a run of games not 1 or 2 and most of are not (for us and the way we play).
Positions to strengthen ??? P!ss a few here but 2 top class full backs with Wilko and Hoofinbottom as more than capable squad players who can play else where. At least 1 wide player who can play equally as well on both flanks. Loose Etherington or Liam and we have Rory playing there. Box to box midfielder with a pass. Of coarse a fast striker. We need pace in all positions if possible we are not the quickest. Just think we will need to invest to survive as teams will work us out !!

Rid of Dicko? No chance he's get a great future here IMO.

I wouldn't miss Dicko to be honest. Don't think he's going to make it at this level.

Greening ??????? Think TP would have him any where near a Stoke team? I think NOT. Don't rate him myself - pleasing on the eye from time to time but don't effect the game that much. prefer Koren than him. Think the only WBA player to suit TP would probably be Morrision (Hard worker) or Miller when fit for the obvious reasons.

Tell you what if Sorreson (rumours ) is leaving, what chance us getting Robinson ? Two much cash ? We are a much bigger club than where is is now without a doubt or is this ridiculous and me thinking we are mis table Prem team .

It's not inconceivable but I wouldn't say we were a much bigger team than Blackburn today. I'd say we were on a par, although they are a more established Prem team and have been in Europe fairly recently. We'll both probably be seen as relegation contenders again next season.

Everyone has a right to an opinion and all but "a great future"...come on. I've posted before how I feel that sometimes some people get blinded by both Wilko and Dicko's nearby location of birth, Dicko is clearly not good enough for this level. His tackles are rash and abrasive, his decision making poor and his distribution inadequate. On that basis, I'd get rid of him in the Summer, a move to a newly promoted club in the fizzy pop league or likewise a struggler in the league, would do him a world of good. Other players to be axed include Pericard, Olifinjana, Cort, Sonko and Cresswell. Danny Pugh has earnt the right to be a part of next season, he has put in some very valuable contributions and his versatility is a bonus. Soares and Tonge, it's been hard on them both so far but I would keep them because I think it's clear that they do have a fair amount of footballing ability, more than some people give them credit for, and they wouldn't be bad options to have on the bench/pushing for a place on the bench. In terms of 'cherry picking', Chris Brunt, James Morrison, Djibril Cisse, Habib Beye, Michael Turner, David Wheater, Gary O'Neill...are all players within our reach and players that I wouldn't mind in a red and white jersey down at the Brit. A decent left back wouldn't go a miss too, Warnock is out of our league for sure, does Adam Johnson play there?...I always thought he was more of a winger than full back.

One point however is that why have sqaud players that TP will never pick if his first 11 are fit even if playing toss? Quite a few of his signings and most mentioned as 'on way out' fall into this catagory. The reason simply is that TP does not think they are good enough really and they strictly back up. Our sqaud players need to be competing for places not back up for injuries and suspension ??

Warnock would be a good one and wouldn't cost the earth. Just what we need i reckon. Other realistic ones are Morrison, O'Neill, Malbranque, Richardson and on his day Mendy looks decent.

Roman Bednar would be a great signing from the Baggies, especially with the way we play.
Also, I'd leave Wilko and Higgy in. We're solid at the back as it is, just look at our last 4 games and it'll show you that, and Wilko is coming on wonderfully, and turning into a premiership qualtiy right-back week by week. Why waste 3-4 million on one when he's coming along fine.

I'd have Belhadj tomorrow but it looks to me like they'll be OK.

To be fair, they have all got good players. Steven and Ryan Taylor at castle for example, always caught my eye.

I'd like Wheater or Stephen Taylor but surely they'd just be backup for our current pairing, so I'd be happy to sign Kelly permanently, with Wilkinson and him fighting for that position, especially if we can sign a class left-back. Higgy could then be back up for Shawcross and Faye. From the relegated clubs I'd take Malbranque and Gary O'Neill.

Im just wondering if the likes of Sonko, Oli, Tonge/Soares were "insurance" signings with possibly TP looking at laying down a quality squad with half an eye on being relegated and looking at a 2009/2010 Championship squad when he had money to spend? I think TP might be a different animal in this years transfer window, question is will TP stick to the Stoke way of playing with better players, or try and change to a west brazil style and go for wholesale re-building. Will we be "worked out" by the other teams?

dont like this thread. i hate slagging off of players! remember there isnt room for them all in the squad so thats why alot have'nt featured this season! although a clear cut person to get rid of is cresswell. i like the guy but he proved on sat when he took a player on and failed misserably that he cant cut it at this level. i'll applaud him everytime he plays for stoke but as long as its just for 10mins max!

I am surprised no one has mentioned Jonas Gutierrez . . . he turned the game for Newcastle against us. Scared the shit out of our defence, never afraid to take people on.
Although I think we'd have some competition from the bigger boys to land him.

A few of the players a few of you lot have mention are a little unrealistic if I'm telling the truth, the likes of Tuncay and Steven Taylor for example have been touted for Chelsea and Arsenal recently.
I'd be very happy if Pulis were to keep the current first team 11 together (If it aint broken then why fix it).
It would be nice to see some of the deadwood shipped out and I'm sure a few of the fringe players won't be too reluctant for a move away with their lack of first team action.
Players to stay: Sorro, Wilko, Higgy, Abdy, ShawX, Lenny, Ethers, Whelan, Delap, BT, Fuller, Dicko, Pugh, Griff, Kelly, Cort, Davies, Cresswell, Diao, Olly, Amdy and Mama
Players out: Simmo, Soares, Kitson, Tonge, Camara ans Sonko.
That's how I see it going tbh, I would like to see rid of Cresswell and keep Simmo, Soares, Tonge and Camara as backup but I don't think they will be too happy warming the bench.
