Rather not have one. Let the lads have a lap of honour when we can all see properly. It really annoyed me when those silly twats rushed on early last year. Do you sit in the West Stand???

All this scare mongering about having a points deduction if we go on the pitch at the end of our last game is just talking stupid and will NOT happen.Rule by fear just like our bloody government. If the kids want to go on then bloody let them ,theres no harm in it at all.All of our supporters over 35 all went on the pitch every year in the past no matter where we finished and it was great fun .So i say on the pitch for those who want to. Spot on, as long as it's after the whistle

Not every-one can actually get onto the pitch but would like to show their appreciation to the squad and management but cant really if the team have to go to the top of the stand be -cause people wouldn't leave the pitch how old are you ffs

It'd be stupid and small time. Pitch invasions are for winning things, not staying in the division. It'd be absolutely stupid. Let the players have their moment.
What would happen if we won a cup at Wembley and pitch invaded at full time?

Small time if we go on the pitch ? Thats rich coming from a club whos fans songs repertoire consists mainly of taking the piss and considering a basement team in English football to be our main rivals .Thats small time . We should change a couple of our songs to be directed at Wolves,Man u and any other team we fancy but Port Vale .?

I vowed that the last game of the season was my last pitch invasion at the age of 44...it brought to an end an acomplished CV of pitch invasions over a thirty year stretch...I can no longer out run the stewards

i think last season's pitch invasion was brilliant and well deserved for both fans and players, but hins season i think they deserve a lap of honour for all the work they have put in, they know how much we love them all, all they have to do is listen =)

Why do some people want to deny the players (and their children) and the manager and coaching staff the traditional lap of honour? Don't you think they deserve one? :')

nosehair, there was a thread on this topic three or four days ago when practically all agreed that going on to the pitch was not smart and last year's should have been the exception. Feel sorry for those who missed the fun and were "looking down in disgust?" Maybe you misinterpreted their facial expressions? I was not disgusted, just very sad, even though, because of it, the players were all alongside me, as I sit in the first seat behind the away directors' box where they were forced to go. Why was I sad? Because I thought of the majority who could not show their appreciation, as the players went past. The children who would not have been safe on the pitch, the disabled supporters, the elderly and fragile etc. And the young son of one of our players) and probably others, although I heard this one myself, who asked his daddy why they couldn't be out there on the pitch. So let's forget number one, this time, and give everyone the chance to enjoy our great efforts, including the players who should be strolling around the pitch, with their kiddies. remember Gifton needing about six arms, to keep his under control? It was worth it, just to see that. What's more, isn't it right that the players should be given the chance to cap and thank number 12, from near to them rather than at a distance? You know that makes sense, so let's ALL enjoy post-Wigan. And thanks in advance.

I think a pitch invasion wouldn't be such a bad idea but giving the lads their lap of honour seems a better idea. They should be able to do it in style with their little kiddies walking beside them A nice victory against Wigan would be great in front of a packed out home support *well it should be packed out*
