We owe Blackburn one good hiding! We (Sonko) gifted them that 3-0 bashing at Ewood Park and there was big Sam (arsehole) Allardyce lauding it like he had done something himself A win would be good but a thrashing would be better! Noticeable that several names were missing from The Blackburn team on Saturday. Whats the betting that they rise from the sick-bed for this one Nice to see Allardyce go down with his former club Castle

Anyone know the status of their injured players ? are they long term, or will they suddenly all reappear against us ? Santa Cruz is a danger man, hope he is out, although we have kept better players than him quiet at the Brit this year.

Justice would be 3-0 to Stoke, with all goals in the first half, and Fat Sam sent to the stands for having an upsetting face

What is our record against Blackburn in the modern era? My recollection is that we havn't crossed paths many times in the last (say) 50 years.
I recall us beating them 3 2 away round about 1965 in Division 1 and them beating us at home in 1968, them as a second division club in the League Cup. I also remember going there in about 1988 and losing. Overall I think they have a decent record at our place in recent years. Is this not their first visit to the Brit?
(I could have checked in the books but its more fun to try and remember).
Ek.

Blackburn have had the edge in our recent meetings.
After the 3-0 in front of 7,000 Stokies, we owe them big style.

I reckon they will be well up for the blackburn match to put things right. Same for the west ham game. should get fuller and griff to have a pillow fight in centre circle at half time to take the piss a bit

That defeat at Blakcburn we were a complete utter disgrace. That wasn't anything to do with Sam. It was to do with us gifting the game to them. Hopefully our players will remember and want to put the bloody record straight.

Worryingly, Benni McCarthy played a spell for Blackburn Reserves last night. He was deadly against us at Ewood in December. I hope he has a "twinge" between now and kick off.......

I luvvit when the Match Thread makes an appearance. It means its nearly Saturday.
Getting down to the wire now. Steady as she goes. Nearly there. Stress-free celebration at the Emirates is at hand. Just a bit more work to do first...starting on Saturday.

A draw is fine against Blackburn. Blackburn need to win - just like Newcastle did. A draw will leave us needing two or three points from five games. Stop worrying and try and enjoy the end of the season.

Before the Newcastle game I thought we'd draw to Newcastle and beat Blackburn and I still hold to that. I saw the Tottenham v Blackburn match the other week and I thought Blackburn were pretty dire to be honest and lucky to come away with 3 points! Where when I'd seen Newcastle play (v Man U, Chelsea) they actually played well and created chances and looked better than Blackburn. It'll still be a tough match and we've got put our chances away this week, Fuller and Beattie both should have done better from close range and even Whelan was unusually off from the edge of the box even though a few sat up nicely for him, things just didn't drop for us last week but I think we can score that second goal and kill the game this week.
2-1. (peno for each team, not had one for a while!)
I still have nightmare over Sonko's performance that away day, I think part of him is still in that tackle he made for the penalty!
COooommme on!!!
