What type of players should we be looking for this summer ?
Eg - Pulis type players / players that are running out of contract
Moekena is looking to leave Blackburn.
Walcott's contract ends next summer but im guessing he'll sign a new contract.
Man City will be looking to offload as they'll be no doubt they'll be bringing in new faces. How about Jo? if Everton don't fancy him. Then there's been talk of Benjani.
Tottenham always have fresh fraces and with 'Arry in he'll wnat his own sqaud. Jenas and Bentley have already fallen out with him?
How about the relegated teams. Brazil - Morrison? Boro - O'Neil , Wheater? Newcastle - Martins? Sunderland - Jones? Portsmouth - Kranjcar?
Then there's always rejects from "big" clubs like Shorey etc.
Id love to see one from Obafemi Martins/ Jo/ Kenwyne Jones.
Then a midfielder from O'Neil/Jenas.
Discuss.

You can forget Jo, Walcott, Krancjar and Jenas for starters. There's no way on this earth any of those will sign. We need at least, IMO, a left back, (Belhadj if Pompey go maybe?) two centre mids (Sean Davis? Gary O' Neill?) and a striker (Kenwyne? McFadden? Tuncay?)

In an ideal world? ------------------Sorro------------------ HERE-------Shawcross---Faye--------HERE Lenny------HERE------HERE----Etherington ----------HERE*--------Beattie-------- *I know it's controversial to suggest that we need a new striker when Ric is playing so well, and (at the moment) I'm very much of the opinion that Fuller should start rather than be used as a super sub, however I really would like to see some genuine competition ( Cisse or Dindane?) for his place and then maybe he could be used more as an impact player. Right back: Wilko has come on leaps and bounds this season, but if we are really going to push on (and Lenny is going to keep his place) next season, then we really need to add some pace down this flank. Beye is one of the best right backs in the country, and if Newcastle go down, he'll probably be out of our reach, but maybe, just maybe Abdoulaye could have a word! Left back: Higgy has surved the cause superbly this season, but at the end of the day he is still a centre back filling in temporarily as left back. Shorey maybe? Centre midfield: I've championed Whelan all season (even when a lot of people were knocking him) and Rory is a true pro. However if we ARE going to move forward then I think we need more quality in the centre of the pitch (well at least in one of the two central positions) - O'Neil or Huddlestone maybe? Sorry I got a bit carried away there!

I reckon Rory is good enough but we need new central midfielders. A Whelan type player and replacements for Soares, Tonge, Olofinjana and Pugh. I suppose Pugh is useful as versatile backup. We need a new left back, maybe a new right back and better cover on the right than Rory. Hopefully, this would help our strength in depth and give us a much stronger squad overall.

We need two new full backs and more strength in midfield. An up and coming nippy striker to back up Beats, Fuller and Mama would not go amiss.
For every player we release or sell, we need to bring in a Premiership quality replacement.
Any chance of Zigic if Mama will be out till Christmas or even Benjani. TP likes Cahill and Davies and has chased O'Neill and Riggott. Is there anyone playing for the Manchester or Liverpool clubs who will want one final pay day without having to move house?
We know TP pursues his man until he gets him. I hope this is not the case with Carson ;D

Wheater.
Imagine a Wheater and Shawcross central pairing, both future England internationals?
(please do not fear, He has been moved into defensive midfield)

No not that midget Seriously though, The Z-man would be devastating in this stoke side imo, I think he'd verge on un-playable, imagine him on the end of a Delap bomb he'd be like Duncan Ferguson on steroids

(please do not fear, He has been moved into defensive midfield) It'd be a very brave man who would move Abdoulaye out of central defence. I'm pretty certain that we'd be able to attract a player who is at least the equal to him as a central midfielder but would think it would by near on impossible to attract a player who is as good a centre back as him.
