In terms of quality not just meaning.
Personally I'd say Fuller v Villa when he made Laursen look like an idiot !

That goal by a mile. Olifinjana against Everton, Whelan against Villa in the runner up spots.
Delap's against Spurs and Mama's against West Brom were beautiful in their own way

Ric's against Bolton. Our first Premier League Goal, and the chaos that followed, despite being 3-1 down

Has to be Fuller vs Villa.
If that had been Rooney or Ronaldo, the media would have creamed themselves.

How about Delap vs Chelsea? Against a defence that played in the Champions League final

It's a close one for me between.. Oli's against Everton (cracking goal by the forgotten man) Whelan's away at Villa (great finish in the dying moments. Must've taken some real composure) Ricky's against Villa (incredible amount of skill, strength and determination. Top finish from such a tight angle) Beattie's against Man City (just the sheer precision behind the whole move and finish. All made to look so effortless)

Fuller's goal vs Villa is the best goal I've ever seen. It came from absolutely nothing. World class skill and a great finish against one of the best keepers in the Prem in Friedel.

It's going to be hard for me to decide between the three goals we're going to tag against Newcastle next week. I'll take Beattie's 32nd minute screamer to the upper 90 from about 20 out. Or of course, the Shawcross flashing header in the 52nd. Then again, Ric's individual performance in the 70th will be great too.

Has to be Ricci, a piece of geniune genius against a team that has an excellnt defence. As above had it been Ronaldo it would have been on a continous loop on SSN to this day

Kitsons v .........
1. Ricardo v Villa (pure class and great finish)
2. Mama v Boing Boing (Crucial goal, made by a lovely bit of inter-passing between Tongy and Higgy, finished with a great header)
3. BT v Citeh (got up above an international defender, and headed down with accuracy to beat an international keeper, and we did it with 10 men ;D)

In terms of quality there is only one contender really and hopefully goal of the season - possibly?
(did like Carlton Cole's team goal a couple of weeks back though)

olifinjana bundling the ball home after delaps throw against arenal ;d IT WAS FOOKING CLASS ;D lol I was abroad and remember sitting at a dodgy internet cafe for 2 hours and the spanish bloke was getting suspicious cos I was wearing down his F5 key on the bbc text website, then the 2 times we scored I went mental. I also remember how the text commentator described it, something like: And would you believe it, they're 2 up! The ball comes in from Delap and Olofinjana first chests and then headers it into the back of the net. Which sounds beautiful, but it wasn't ;D

In terms of quality not just meaning. I think you would have got a lot more varied (and indeed interesting) answers if you had specified meaning rather than quality as the criteria for an answer. There is just the one goal that is so far ahead of the other's in terms of quality. In terms of meaning, for me at the moment it's Whelan's at Villa (incredible confidence booster for the remainder of the season that would ultimately spur us on to survival) however I'm hoping that the most important goal of the season will be the winner against Newcastle on Saturday!

Some very good goals been scored this season, but it has to be Fuller's against Villa, a fantastic piece of skill, and the finish from such a tight angle against such an experienced quality goalkeeper was brilliant. And it was scored in our first home game back in the top flight

Its either Ric's against Villa cause that was just absolute class. Or Beatts against Bolton, it took some brilliant skill to get into that position, and was in all fairness a great team goal.

Fuller v Villa for the skill involved
Whelan at Villa for the rescue act at the end of the game we were dead and buried in, when he lined up to hit it, thinking please get this on target, then the back of the net moving as we gained a vital point. From depression to complete ecstasy in 5 minutes. You can't beat that.
